As the flames spread, the country was completely engulfed, and the abode of Brahma, the scriptures of the four Vedas, and all the temples of the heretics were burned. The flames burned on the Bodhisattva for a whole day and night, and then the fire on the body of the Bodhisattva Rabjor subsided. The king and the executioners went to search for the Bodhisattva's bones, and in the middle of the fire pit, the lower part of the Bodhisattva's body was burned, but the upper part was clear, and drops of dew were dripping on his body and clothes. There was no harm at all. Then, by the power of the Bodhisattva, the executioners seized the king and prepared to kill him. The king said: What are you doing? Now, such a time has come. Now, if anyone has given up harming others, I will save him from fear. King, will you promise and vow?" Then, grasping the robes of the Holy One, he said in a trembling voice, "Alas, great Holy Bodhisattva! Under the power of delusion, I have opened the treasure trove of non-virtue. The debt of life has fallen upon me in this way. I have fallen into the helpless city of sorrow and darkness. Alas, great Holy One, all that you have said, I promise and vow, Holy King of Dharma!" Having said this, they released each other and were delighted. Subhuti, likewise, the six teachers will not abandon their former deeds for my Shravakas.
