Thus he prayed to the departed: O Bhagavan, like the sky, may I, after attaining Buddhahood, and after passing into Nirvana, again and again, in the manner of the ten bhumis, always benefit beings. After making such prayers, the Bhagavan said: Well done, well done! You will become the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Avalokiteshvara, and you will accomplish the benefit of all beings. Thus he prophesied. Then the sage obtained forbearance in the dharma of non-arising. Immediately, all the Tathagatas of the ten directions manifested, and he obtained the stable samadhi of compassion and joy.
