Alas! Those who crave the objects of the five desires and harbor deceit, Falsely posing as scholars and accomplished ones, foolish and ignorant. Though they may deceive with illusions, how could such be respected by the holy ones? Even if one travels to the ends of the earth like a fox, They are revered by the wise and become objects of offering. Relying on fame, their stories spread throughout the land, Like a tiger, they come with overwhelming power and a smiling face. Though they only recite words, in this lifetime, They have not studied culture, learning, or contemplation, Yet in teaching, debating, and writing, they are unparalleled, Their innate wisdom bursts forth, amazing to hear! With realization, they liberate their minds, freely controlling appearances, With immeasurable compassion, they subdue the appearances of others, Humans and non-humans, superior and inferior beings, All are employed by the lord as servants. Though they possess the eye of knowledge, directly perceiving past lives and the minds of others, Whatever praise or blame, true or false, They embrace all with equal love and compassion. Whether directly or indirectly, for the teachings and beings, They never abandon the intention to benefit, Skillfully gathering the faithful with the four means of attraction, This skill in gathering is also the tradition of past holy ones. Though their view of view, meditation, and knowledge is as vast as the sky, Their actions of acceptance and rejection accord with the key points of cause and effect. The supreme incarnation who unerringly shows the path, The sole protector who illuminates the Nyingma (ancient) teachings, how could one not rely on them? Through the wondrous power of past habits, intention, and prayers, They have mastery over the treasures of substance and mind, In this degenerate age, they are the representative of Orgyen Padmasambhava, All see and offer the authority of the single Dharma King. The life force of the Nyingma (ancient) school's supreme Vajrayana, The supreme Vidyadhara, the accomplished one. Known as གས༵ང་སྔ༵གས་གླི༵ང་པ༵་ (Tibetan), गुह्य मन्त्र द्वीप (Sanskrit Devanagari), guhya mantra dvīpa (Sanskrit Romanization), Secret, Mantra, Island, who tames beings, Their fame resounds in all directions like the summer drum. In the center of countless stars of Dharma holders, The emanation of the Vidyadhara Padmasambhava, with radiant light, With the rays of wondrous and amazing deeds, They dwell as the companion who causes the lotus of the mantra teachings to bloom. Their qualities are a treasure of virtues, Profound, vast, and difficult to fathom, Yet I drank a single drop, And have long since quenched the thirst of doubt and suffering. Oh, beings of this evil, degenerate age!

Where is the boundary? Aimless words follow like the wind, Noble intentions and actions, judged by the intellect of ordinary beings, Cannot be measured, like a rabbit darting into the grass. Some beings, drawn to the heart of delusion, Even when the all-knowing Shakyamuni Buddha appears in person, The darkness of their misguided minds is like a cave facing north, And the light of his wondrous great compassion never dawns. Beings of evil lineage, created by the ripening of bad karma, Must wander from darkness to the end of darkness, To foxes possessed by the demon of wrong thought, Why should the wise, the turquoise-maned ones, compete? To the sublime being revered by the wise, If anyone with a small mind speaks ill and proclaims it, If they do not repent and purify with effort, Know that they destroy their life and merit forever. Those demons, born of demons, and Rakshasa birds, Who disparage the glory of the upholders of the doctrine and those who act for the doctrine, When the dawn of the manifestation of the qualities of the holy ones arrives, Lie sleeping in the forest of self-seeing ignorance. Whoever are beings who have entered the Sutra path, If they wish to offer to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in all fields, Know that disrespecting the actual manifestations of the Buddhas Is contrary to the words of the Sugatas. Those fortunate ones who have entered the supreme path of Secret Mantra, If they must purify the pure appearance that is the mere play of appearance, sound, and the three families, deity, mantra, and wisdom, Then let them be ashamed of cursing the supreme holy ones. Even if there are many branches of words that disparage others, It is the cause of cutting off the life force of one's own liberation. That horn weighed down by the burden of jealousy, Should be abandoned and walk on the impartial mountain peak. Whose body, speech, and mind are the immutable Vajra realm, Although it cannot be struck by the club of foolish words, There is no doubt that the oath-breaking Dharma protectors, Will strike with a thunderbolt of heavenly iron. From the ocean of qualities of the protector, My praise, according to my ability, is like a drop at the tip of a hair. By the virtue of writing this garland of thirty verses, May it become the cause of pacifying deluded thoughts and evil minds. A Garland of Thirty Verses in Praise of Sangngak Lingpa.
