Collected Teachings of the Omniscient Gorampa GR4 Homage to the Venerable Lama Kunga Sangpo Homage to the Venerable Lama Kunga Sangpo Homage to Vajradhara Kunga Sangpo Homage to the Venerable Lama Kunga Sangpo, entitled 'A Playful Ocean of Praises'. Homage to the Protector Manjushri. A body adorned with the ornament of discipline, completely beautiful. A speech as pleasant as the voice of Brahma, generating joy. Possessing the good mind of non-conceptual samadhi. To the guru of beings, the ocean of Dharma (Kunga Gyatso). Joining hands at the heart, with utmost devotion. With exquisite poetry, loudly proclaiming. With sincere heart, remembering the qualities. Sincerely praising you, may you consider with your wisdom and compassion. Your immeasurable qualities, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Even if they try to express fully, they cannot exhaust them. Like saying 'the sun moves in the sky'. Would the bee abandon the movement of its wings because of that? Towering high in the center of the ocean of intelligence. Surrounded by a golden fence of pure three trainings. Possessing a series of steps for teaching, debating, and writing. We have faith in the great and venerable mountain king. A Mount Meru made of precious tantras. Constantly enjoying the nectar of the two stages. Possessing a thousand eyes to view the four continents. I prostrate to the lord of the Vidyadhara deities. Outstanding wisdom, the light illuminating the teachings of the Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha). Compassion freely dancing in the pure sky. Ripening limitless, virtuous harvests. I prostrate to the sun that speaks the sacred Dharma. Your intelligence, towards the knowable. Unobstructed access, this is the metaphor. An impartial wise person, with intelligence. If one always searches, one can find it like this. Because of the power of innate ability and training. For the sake of depth, clarity, and vastness. The ocean, the sun, the sky. Are seen as examples representing only a fraction. Towards the limitless knowable. For the sake of unobstructed access. The wisdom of Manjushri. Is seen as an example representing completely. The words of the Omniscient One, wisdom extremely vast, possessing compassion for all beings, destroying all conceptual thoughts. The source of joy, in the lake of wind and mind, frolicking with the gait of the four joys. With good aspirations, perfectly accomplished in eons, with virtuous conduct, guiding the disciples to the state of goodness. Possessing the treasure of boundless wisdom and compassion, with great compassion, I prostrate to you from the depths of my heart, please hold me with the hook of compassion. In the vast sky of limitless knowable. The mandala of clear wisdom, extremely vast. Extremely diligent. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drawn by seven horses, dispelling all dimness, this is more wondrous than wonder itself. Seven mountains adorned with golden flowers, eight seas with offerings like garlands, resembling a constant and extraordinary arrangement of offerings. Who will become the glory of beings in this degenerate age? Avalokiteśvara, the lord of compassion, dispels the darkness of the ten directions with a web of light, manifesting thousands of hands and eyes. When you gaze upon this world, seeing you perform the deeds of a teacher for the doctrine, like the Buddha, worthy of reverence, it is as if you join your palms with a smile. Your body, possessing hundreds of thousands of petals of ethical discipline, with peaceful and gentle filaments, beautifully clear, for the sake of tasting the supreme nectar of the three vows. Like a gathering of cloud-like bees seeking meaning. At that time, the gods who revel in the sky say, 'Let us make offerings to this worthy one!' Like a beautifully arranged parasol of sunlight, radiant and fluttering, circling to the right. Although you have attained the supreme state of all-knowing Buddhahood, for the sake of spreading the doctrine, the source of joy and happiness. With excellent compassion, you take the form of a human, I seek your protection with pure intention. Remembering your radiant body, my hair stands on end; remembering your melodious speech, tears fall; remembering your wise mind, my memory fades. Look upon me, the wretched one, with eyes of compassion. The supreme treasure of the three vows obtained from you, and all that I have hidden in the treasury of my mind. May you bind them tightly with the iron hook of your wisdom and compassion, until enlightenment. May you become a lion, guarding the deer of the wise, roaring the sound of immaculate scripture, causing the fox packs of evil speech to shrink in fear. The teacher, the Sugata, abides in the realm of Dharma. At this time when the doctrine is setting like the sun, because you are abandoning this field, I doubt whether you truly care for the doctrine. However, after ripening those to be tamed, abiding again in the Dharmakaya free from elaboration, is the nature of all Buddhas, so what reason do I have to complain? Although you have the power to remain for immeasurable eons, and you know well that the doctrine will dissipate like clouds, your leaving this field for another makes me think you lack compassion. However, having attained the supreme state of the Rare and Supreme, to make the gold of the doctrine... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
