Please bring me into your control. If demons appear, please subdue them with fierce power. If poisoning occurs, please cure it with medicine. On rivers without bridges, please build boat bridges. On cliffs without stairs, please construct staircases. On plains without shelter, please build fortresses. From the front, solidify the essence of the land. From the rear, add the strength of many armies. Be the escort for those traveling to foreign lands. Welcome those returning to their homeland. Adorn the eyes that see with silk banners. Blow conch shells into the ears that listen. Be the guardian of the whole family. Be the shepherd of the livestock in the pen. Grant radiance to the body in the assembly. Grant friendship with those of beautiful form. Grant the accomplishment of wealth in the treasury. Fill the vessels with the great essence of food. Bring all male and female beings into your control. May all wishes be fulfilled. For all good things, grant them from your mouth; for all evil things, cut them off from the root. Be the guard of the day. Be the sentinel of the night. Subdue enemies and robbers. Subdue thieves and burglars. Turn ghosts and demons into dust. Leave them without even a name. Wherever we, the hosts and guests and our retinue, go in the four directions and eight intermediate directions, wherever we dwell, please welcome us from the front. Escort us from the rear. In the middle, be our closest companion. May all that we think, hope, and desire be in accordance with the pure Dharma. May the teachings of the Buddha flourish and spread. May the lives of the upholders of the teachings be prolonged. May the happiness and well-being of sentient beings arise like in the age of perfection. We offer gratitude for the good deeds done in the past. Now we offer prayers for doing good. Be the protector of life and the savior of life. Be the supporter and companion. We offer prayers.
