Instructions to Kelsang Chöying Zangmo Instructions to Kelsang Chöying Zangmo ༄༅། Instructions to Kelsang Chöying Zangmo. Om Swasti. Om, may there be well-being!). To the peerless and glorious Lama, I, your child, bow from my heart; look upon me with compassion. Sister Gelongma Chöying Zangmo, If you practice Dharma from the heart, do as follows: The support of leisure and fortune is like a lotus in the sky, Even if you obtain it once through good karma, It is impermanent, like a butter lamp in the wind. Do not postpone the Dharma, young nun! Karmic cause and effect are like seeds in spring, Whatever cause you cultivate, a corresponding fruit will ripen. The six realms of beings are like inescapable prisons, Do not develop the mind to enter there, young nun! Profound Dharma is like nectar that cures illness, To the extent you rely on it, you will attain the kingdom of lasting bliss. The venerable Lama is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, Do whatever he says, young nun! Since beginningless time in samsara, Until now, you have been deceived by worldly distractions. Now, if you want happiness and do not want suffering, Turn your mind to the Dharma, young nun! Taking refuge in the infallible Three Jewels, Is said by the Victorious Ones to be the root of all Dharmas. Without this, there is no way, young nun! All sentient beings equal to the sky, There is not one who has not been your parent before. Cherish and care for them like your present parents, Cultivate loving-kindness and compassion, young nun! Especially on this excellent path of the supreme Great Secret, You must always strive to diligently engage In the Guru Yoga, which is the embodiment of all refuges. Through this, blessings will enter, young nun! Until now, your mind has wandered outwards, And you have only accomplished meaningless distractions. Now, turn your mind inwards, And cut off the root of mind, young nun! In general, the one who knows the duality of grasping at outer and inner, The form, the object, which is not established as having inherent characteristics, The condition, the one who experiences happiness, suffering, and equanimity, Is named "mind", young nun! When it goes out through the path of any of the five senses, And a collection of thoughts about the five external objects arises, That is called a spontaneously arising thought. Cut it off immediately, young nun! When the mind is dwelling slightly within, And subtle thoughts follow one after another, That which is difficult to recognize is called "subconscious flow." You must hold it with mindfulness, young nun! Whatever coarse or subtle thoughts arise in the mind, From the moment you remember it,

If I am not subdued, then it is chasing after thoughts or the end of conceptual proliferation. Do not chase after thoughts and concepts, little practitioner. For the coarse and subtle thoughts that have not been remembered, mind and consciousness are welcoming conceptual proliferation. If you welcome it, it will increase endlessly. Now do not welcome it, little practitioner. If you know how to leave the awareness of the present moment in its natural state, without fabrication, then it is called unmodified awareness. Meditation arises from this, little practitioner. Even if subtle and coarse movements of mind do not arise, if you do not recognize its own nature, you will be bewildered. Some call this the view of the Hwa Shang. This is a wrong path, little practitioner. Like the ocean unmoved by a gentle breeze, the mind is not moved by subtle and coarse thoughts. If you remain unwavering and clear, then that is calm abiding, little practitioner. Although the mind is clear and empty, inexpressible, and beyond intellect, the radiance is unobstructed, and one recognizes one's own nature by oneself. Like a child seeing but not recognizing, this is awareness, little practitioner. The expanse is beyond intellect, primordially pure, free from elaboration, the nature is clear and empty, and the radiance of awareness dawns. Like the sun rising in a cloudless sky, this is called insight, little practitioner. All thoughts, like clouds, dissolve into the expanse. The expanse is clear and empty, and the self-radiance of awareness blazes. Whatever experience arises is the natural state without fabrication. It is called union, little practitioner. Whatever you do, whatever thoughts arise, the essence of the nature of awareness does not change. Lord Lama calls it thought liberation, without discrimination. Liberation from the moment of arising, little practitioner. In the four activities of sessions and breaks, if you spontaneously abide in the state of the expanse free from elaboration, Lord Lama calls it undifferentiated sameness and after. Having this is fulfilling, little practitioner. Whatever happens, whether pleasant, painful, or neutral, understand it as the play of unchanging awareness. Having this is called a practitioner who can overcome circumstances. This is very important, little practitioner. Whatever arises, whether blissful clarity or non-conceptual emptiness, whatever happens, whether good, good, or excellent, excellent, understand it as the natural vibration of inner awareness. All of this is necessary, little practitioner. Whatever good or bad circumstances arise, unite them into the expanse. The meaning is the state of being free from acceptance and rejection, without attainment. Whatever experience arises, conduct arises spontaneously. It is called Dzogchen, little practitioner. Although the profound path of the six yogas and Dzogchen (Great Perfection) has endless classifications, this is all, and it is kept secret because the time is not right. I will speak when the time is right, little practitioner. M
