The Yoga of Time Divisions. The Yoga of Time Divisions. The second is the yoga of continuous connection. As stated in the tantra: "In order to place virtue on the scale, one should train in the yoga of the four time divisions." As it is said, divide the day into four parts: dawn, morning, afternoon, and night. Those with distractions should divide the dawn session into three parts. In the first part, practice guru yoga and pray. In the middle part, practice Trekchö. In the last part, practice bliss-emptiness and tummo. In the morning session, for the first third of the time, from dawn until sunrise, engage in recitation and reading, etc. Then, until noon, practice Tögal. At noon, do some circumambulation and take a short break. In the afternoon session, for the first half, remain in Tögal in the afternoon, and in the evening, perform torma offerings, Dharma practice, and wind control. In the night session, for the first third, contemplate death and impermanence. In the middle part, practice generation stage and recitation. At noon, conceal sleep in luminosity. Alternatively, a person without distractions should practice Tögal in the morning and afternoon sessions of the day, that is, practice in the morning and afternoon. During the day, practice the continuous stream. In the two night sessions, sit in a squatting posture, cover the eyes with fingertips, and gently press without weight. Focus awareness on the space directly in front of the eyebrows, where five-colored light spots appear, as bright as peacock feathers, and practice as much as possible. At the end of the night session, gather the essential points of the senses in the posture of a sage, that is, on the four-petaled lotus at the navel, visualize a short red A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), feeling its heat as if fire is burning. From the central channel, strike the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) at the crown of the head, causing nectar to descend from the bindu. Use fire as fuel to make it burn fiercely, burning away karma and habitual tendencies. When the red and white bodhicitta of skillful means and wisdom meet, and bliss increases, rest in the state of bliss-emptiness. At noon, gather awareness into the vase in the posture of an elephant, that is, visualize a clear and radiant white A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) in the heart, and a clear white A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) at the Brahma aperture. Between the two, visualize small white A's like strung beads coming from the central channel, each dissolving into the A in the heart. Because of this, contemplate that white light fills and illuminates all the channels and the inside of the body. This is the method of concealing sleep in the sheath of luminosity, the essential point of self-liberation without abandoning ignorance. As soon as you wake up at dawn, exhale a long breath with the sound "Ha."

The three say that the lion's posture reveals wisdom, that is, in the sky an arrow's distance above the crown of the head, visualize a second white "A" emanating from the "A" in the heart, clearly and brightly abiding, and the mind focuses on this, then the wisdom of the primordial pure original state, which is the inseparability of clarity and emptiness, will appear and be known. Similarly, in order to exhaust the elements of the five winds, which are the limbs of the arising of the wisdom of cessation, which is the four meditations of Panchen Vimala, in their own place, practice the red five-layered "A", four-layered, green three-layered, yellow two-layered, and blue single-layered in sequence, thereby abiding in the unborn "A", thereby purifying the fire of conceptualization, the water of joy and bliss, the wind of memory and conceptualization, the earth-like memory of closeness, and the nature and parts of what is to be abandoned, as it is said in the Lamp Illuminating: "Like the sequence of the oral instructions for meditation, like the sequence of obtaining the union of day and night." And in the Essence of Profound Meaning: "Practice dewdrops in the morning and evening, practice continuous strings during the day. The three bodies of the Nirmanakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Dharmakaya, combine in sequence with the three objects of twilight, midnight, and dawn. Thus, by striving day and night, there is no doubt that liberation will be attained." Furthermore, if you wish, at these times you should also learn the seven sitting postures and four ways of looking, etc., of the limbs. The sitting postures are: "Garuda, tiger, vomiting, man, fox, vulture, giant and six, crocodile sitting posture seven key points of the body." Among them, the Garuda's sitting posture is: the soles of the feet together, the body upright and straight, the two vajra fists placed on the thighs, the neck slightly bent, and the eyes looking at the space between the eyebrows and practicing. The tiger's vomiting posture is: the feet as before, the vajra fists placed in the secret place, the back of the neck pulled, the throat bent, and the eyes rolled up between the eyebrows looking straight ahead. The man's sitting posture is: the body squatting, the hands embracing between the knees, the neck slightly raised, and looking straight up at the sky. The fox's sitting posture is: the feet like a straight person, the vajra fists placed on both sides of the ribs, the arms stretched and pulled, the spine straightened, and the eyes slightly closed, leading to the corners of the left and right. The vulture's sitting posture is: the vajra sitting posture of the feet slightly extended forward,
