Like the present self-liberation. Since the original liberation is enlightenment without sectarianism, there is no need to subdue it again with antidotes. It is not like the Mind Division, which is widely established, nor like the Space Division, which is placed in the Dharmadhatu. Rather, it is in the natural state of the Instruction Division, constantly practicing on the experience beyond thought. When one becomes accustomed to that, on the ground of wisdom where all merits are naturally accomplished without cultivation, in order to perfectly unite with the nature of wisdom, there is no need to specially study the ten bhumis of the bodhisattva and the generation and completion stages of inner and outer mantras through diligent effort. As it is said in the All-Creating King, "Without transformation, without cultivation, awareness is naturally complete." That is how it is. Thus, when practicing the path, what should be generally known in common is that one should recognize the obstacles to meditation and avoid them. Therefore, one must rely on the antidote. Regarding this, as Gyalsé Mapam said, "Laziness and instructions, forgetfulness, sinking and agitation, non-doing and doing, these are the five faults." This explains the obstacles, and "The eight actions of the antidote, dwelling and dwelling in it, cause and effect as well. The object is not forgotten, sinking and agitation and conceptual thought, and the manifest action of the antidote, abiding peacefully in serenity." This explains the antidote. That is to say, when entering into meditation, if it seems that more conceptual thoughts arise than before, or sometimes one abides and sometimes one does not, or one abides but deep down there is a subtle intention that cannot be stopped, all three of these are signs of beginning to abide. If one stops the scattering of thoughts but cannot stop it, because one endlessly expands and entrusts it to labor, one's strength weakens, or if one cuts off the continuation of scattering with unscattered mindfulness and awareness, and gains the self-nature of abiding, one should abide in that state. As it is said, "Like a crow that flies up from a pond, circling and circling, it eventually returns there." That is how it is. Also, if there is dullness, exhale the breath, straighten the body, raise the gaze, arouse awareness, and strive to arouse clarity to awaken. If there is agitation, relax the body, lower the gaze, relax the mind, and settle in the natural state to subdue it. In short, one should separately practice shamatha and vipashyana, and sometimes in the clear, cloudless sky, with one's back to the sun, one should restrain one's gaze in the expanse of the sky.

Looking at the ground, like the outer sky opening the door of emptiness and clarity, like the inner sky of awareness being completely pure, the sky of the secret, luminous essence, clear and empty, beyond all boundaries and centers, the nature of reality dawns in an instant. When one becomes slightly accustomed to and gains stability in practice, one mixes it with all activities and with various circumstances. Through this, everything appears as a play of the nature of reality. Without distinction between meditation and post-meditation, transcending the calculations of hope and fear, one is liberated into the meaning of the exhaustion of phenomena, primordial purity. At that time, without abandoning conceptual thoughts, one is liberated from the ground, so there is no need for the effort of liberating again. Whatever arises is self-liberated, so there is no antidote to mindfulness. The six objects are self-liberated in naked seeing, so awareness is free from grasping at before and after. Awareness is completely liberated from good and bad, so one gains the confidence of exhausting bias and acceptance and rejection. As it says in the Sudden Leap: Self-awareness is free from all thoughts, endowed with four great modes of liberation. Since it is primordially liberated, there is no basis for repetition. Since it is naturally liberated, there is no antidote. Since it is nakedly liberated, it vanishes in the place of seeing. Since it is completely liberated, there is no effort. So it is said. Thus, the awareness or conceptual thought that is labeled as liberation does not go anywhere other than being labeled. It does not come from anywhere either. It transcends causes, conditions, and objects. Like the reflection in a clear, empty mirror, no matter how it appears, it does not benefit or harm the ground, and it is free from partiality and the effort of grasping. Whatever arises is aimless, rootless awareness, abiding in its own place as its own arising, so it is liberated as self-liberation. It abides without certainty, so it is liberated as non-grasping. It abides as primordially liberated, so it is liberated as groundless. It abides as immediate, so it is liberated as struck immediately. It abides as the arising of appearance, so it is liberated as appearance and emptiness. Appearance and liberation are without distinction, and in great equality, without needing to cultivate, the primordial state of original purity is manifested and liberated. Furthermore, as it says in the Sudden Leap: What is called the liberation of one's own mind is not going from one place to another. The mind is without anyone liberating it, since it is perfected from the ground, there is no coming or going. Since it is not found by searching, there is no interruption. Since the root is severed, emptiness and clarity abide. The nature of mind abiding as self-luminous is liberated by the key point, so there is no partiality. Since it is liberated by time, there is no dependence. Since it is liberated without effort, there is no diligence. So it is said. Thus, the instructions for practicing the profound meaning of primordial purity and cutting through have come to an end. The practice of
