Training the Skill of Practice on Oneself. Training the Skill of Practice on Oneself. Mixing with Circumstances. Fourth, after realizing the meaning of the primordial state of reality, the original purity, training the skill of practice on oneself involves three aspects: mixing with circumstances, placing in the womb, and the method of cutting off and gathering. First, training the skill by mixing with the circumstances of the three self-liberations, the Meaning Instructions state: "The five poisons are introduced as self-liberating, the five senses are introduced as self-liberating, the six consciousnesses are introduced as self-liberating. Thus, having mastered and settled down, the meaning of Trekchö is established." The Omniscient Longchenpa said: "The five poisons, the five senses, and the six consciousnesses are said to be the three self-liberations." Here too, similarly, first, the self-liberation of the five poisons is: whatever arises of the five afflictive poisons that destroy lasting happiness and steal the life of liberation, without abandoning it, but placing it in the vast state of self-liberation, it will be widely spread as the five non-grasping wisdoms, and similarly, whatever coarse or subtle thoughts arise from it, without rejecting or accepting, but placing it in the state of whatever appears, it will become self-liberated in the great original purity. The self-liberation of the six consciousnesses is: for the six objects—form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena—whatever affirmation or negation arises from the six consciousnesses, including the five senses and the mind, by releasing it in its own state, it will be liberated into the great groundlessness of primordial emptiness. The Omniscient Longchenpa said: "On the three poisons, the five senses, the six consciousnesses, and all objects, whatever arises is ground-liberated, primordially liberated, abiding in its own state. Without distraction, without dwelling, it is liberated in the nature of reality. The king without attachment, the non-grasping arises." Placing in the Womb. Second, placing such a nature of reality in the womb of the four ways of resting is: placing the self-luminous great awareness, which has been introduced as being beyond thought, without engaging in the grasping efforts of the mind or the antidote of deliberate meditation, but leaving it unrestricted and unchanging, is the view of resting like a mountain. Like the three ways of resting described earlier, without grasping or manipulating the appearances of the six consciousnesses, but in a state like the ocean unmoved by waves, placing awareness in clarity is the meditation of resting like an ocean, and releasing the three doors in their natural state is the view and meditation.

The wisdom that arises from stillness, cultivated in a naked, direct way, is the pith instruction of conduct, which is "phenomena as they are." The five sense objects together with the sense consciousnesses are kept in their natural state, thereby causing self-arisen wisdom to appear nakedly, the five winds are bound in space, and the self-manifest pure luminosity of external smoke, mirages, rainbows, etc., also appears in accordance with common appearances, which is considered the result, which is un fabricated awareness as it is, the yoga of the vast expanse of space. As it is said in "The Lamp That Illuminates": "The mountain as it is is the measure of view, the ocean as it is is the measure of meditation, phenomena as they are is the measure of conduct, awareness as it is is the measure of result, the yogi who possesses the four measures, merges with the definitive meaning." Sealing. Third, because nature is separate from action, the way to seal the three doors naturally and spontaneously in the vast expanse is: the greatness of the key to the Great Perfection of Self-Nature lies in the twelve great vajra laughs, and the meaning established by the eight great vajra words that purify the eight aggregates of consciousness, that is, direct awareness transcends cause and effect, acceptance and rejection, and is practiced as the path without change in the three times. However, for great yogis who can compete with masters such as Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, Tilopa, etc., it can be directly said that there is no cause and effect, good and evil, but for people like us, even if we understand this intellectually, we have not yet reached the point of habituation. Therefore, it is necessary to combine the attitude of not being afraid of nature and being cautious about subtle karmic results to explain. As the omniscient father and son said, for those with low intelligence, it is only through distinguishing and explaining with the two truths that they can initially understand. Therefore, if the reality of the above-mentioned experience has been recognized, then by maintaining this state, stability will gradually be obtained. For those dull faculties who have not eliminated doubts, it is still necessary to identify any arising afflictive thoughts and leave them in place, so that the nature of the afflictions becomes nowhere to go and rootless, and diligently meditate and practice according to the intention of the pure land. For those with sharp faculties and great wisdom, through the key of the liberation of the nature of reality itself, no matter what kind of afflictive thoughts arise, their nature cannot be established, like the end of a horse's tail.
