Introducing the Play of Self-Radiant Wisdom. Introducing the Play of Self-Radiant Wisdom. Introducing Abiding as the Adornment of Mind. Secondly, the introduction to the play of self-radiant wisdom is in three parts: abiding as adornment, appearing as play, and introducing non-dual equality. First, the introduction to abiding as the adornment of mind is: the three doors are placed evenly, without wavering, naturally and loosely placed, and in that state, the acceptance and rejection of good and evil, and the various thoughts of the mind's affirmation and negation, etc., are naturally and calmly placed. Like the waves of the great ocean calming, clear and unwavering, all the illusions and discursive elaborations of the mind are pacified, and the co-emergent wisdom of clarity and emptiness, in the unmistaken original, primordial state, is relaxed and clear. Abiding clearly and distinctly is the meaning of Trekchö, the very nature of mind. Moreover, the essence of mind, being free from all elaborations, is the Dharmakaya; its nature being clear and without clinging is the Sambhogakaya; and the unceasing plan of compassion appearing in various forms is the Nirmanakaya. Thus, abiding in its natural state, the three kayas are spontaneously present, indivisible, which is the adornment of mind. This is how it should be introduced. As it says in "Self-Arisen": Transcending the extremes of permanence and annihilation, the stains of the four extremes are naturally purified. It also says: Awareness without thought is the Dharmakaya, unceasing and clear awareness is the Sambhogakaya, awareness appearing as anything is the Nirmanakaya. Furthermore, as it says in "Consequence": When wisdom abides in its own place, it is indivisible in the form of the three kayas. Introducing Appearing as the Play of Mind. Secondly, the introduction to appearing as the play of mind is: Thus, in the state of mind being clear and non-conceptual, whatever thoughts arise from the unceasing display of energy, do not engage in welcoming or sending off. Abiding is not altered, appearing is not suppressed, equality is not fabricated. Without acceptance or rejection, affirmation or negation, whatever thoughts arise, they are naturally relaxed in their self-arisen state. Just as the play of waves is not separate from the nature of the ocean, and they pacify and dissolve into the ocean's expanse; just as salt arises from water and dissolves into water; just as a snake's knot unravels without an antidote, so the assembly of thoughts is the play of Dharmata, not separate from the nature of Dharmata, and therefore pacifies and dissolves into the expanse of Dharmata.

Or, just at the moment of appearance, without relying on antidotes, it will be self-liberated in the expanse of the primordially pure nature of reality. As it says in the Marvelous King Tantra: Like the waves of the ocean, all the movements of the waves of mind dissolve into the primordial ground ocean. And Saraha says: Just as salt dissolves into water, so mind dissolves into its own nature. And in the Consequence it says: Just as the awareness that arises is self-liberated like a snake's knot. And so on. Introducing the state of non-duality and equality of emanation and abiding. Third, introducing the state of non-duality and equality of emanation and abiding: When the mind itself is in a state of non-thought, whatever arises as manifestations and thoughts, without rejection, acceptance, taking, or abandoning, is left in its natural state. Like the ocean and the waves that cannot be separated, it abides unmoving in the state of dharmata, and the nature of the emanations of abiding that emanate unceasingly is inseparable, and both do not go beyond the state of dharmata and are equal in the state of dharmata. That is, in abiding, it arises in various ways; in emanation, it is free from grasping; in equality, there is no clinging to it. Although outer appearances appear in various ways, the mind is not disturbed by appearances, like the direct perception of the senses. Although inner appearances emanate in various ways, they are free from clinging, like the consciousness of a dream. Although the six objects are experienced in various ways, there are no thoughts of rejection, acceptance, hope, or fear, like the consciousness of a young child. Thoughts subside into the field of appearance, like salt dissolving into water. Whatever arises is free from grasping, like a madman without hope or fear. When the field of appearance is free from taking and abandoning and clinging, it is called realizing emptiness of inner and outer. Thus, when the mind abides, it goes to the primordial state. When it emanates, it appears as the play of wisdom. When it is equal, it is liberated in the state of non-duality. Therefore, no matter what, it does not go beyond the play of dharmata. Thus, introduce it, and in the meaning of the meditation of that previous stage, experience arises in awareness. When that experience is recognized and the superimpositions are cut off in the way of abiding, then by equally extending the continuum of that experience, stability will gradually be obtained. When the meaning is understood at that time, then the subsequent introductions become meaningless, so again diligently meditate on the previous stages of visualization and combine them with the way experience arises later.
