Introducing the Nature of Reality through View. Introducing the Nature of Reality through View. Introducing Conceptualization as Mind. Secondly, regarding the uncommon introductions, there are three: introductions through view, through meditation, and through sudden impact. First, regarding the introduction through the view of the nature of reality, the Don Tri says, "Then, introduce conceptualization as mind, introduce mind as emptiness, introduce emptiness as appearance, introduce appearance and emptiness as non-dual, introduce non-duality as self-liberation." Among these five, the first, introducing conceptualization as mind, is as follows: Like this, whatever appears as various phenomena of objects to be grasped, all are separately grasped by conceptualization as 'this and that.' However, even though the basis is one, it appears as countless differences to each sentient being. For example, even to one person, different conceptualizations cause them to appear as different enemies, friends, and neutrals. All phenomena are like dream appearances, merely the illusion of conceptualization, and there is nothing truly established outside. Therefore, no matter how the conceptualizations of objects and subjects arise, they are all created by the mind and do not move from the nature of mind. The nature of mind is not seen, not seen, and will not be seen even by the Buddhas of the three times. Therefore, the conceptualizations that represent its characteristics are not separate from this clear arising. By introducing it in this way, one becomes certain that the various conceptualizations of objects and subjects are non-dual. As the Klong gsal tantra says, "The mind's thoughts, intellect, and wisdom, all that becomes pure appearance and knowledge, do not deviate from pure awareness." Similarly, the Vajra Ghur tantra also says, "Apart from the precious mind, there is no Buddha and no sentient being." Introducing Mind as Emptiness. Introducing Mind as Emptiness. Secondly, introducing mind as emptiness: That very mind is originally free from the eight extremes of elaboration, such as birth and cessation, permanence and annihilation, coming and going, one and many, and is not established as anything anywhere, nor can it be represented by anything. Therefore, it is certain that mind is emptiness. By introducing it in this way, one gains certainty that it transcends the intellect of thought and is free from the words of expression. As Klong gsal says, "When looking back at the moving itself, unabandoned, self-liberated, like a bubble." And as Dewa Rabjam says,

The nature of mind, which is without root, is unfindable by searching, and has no graspable entity. As it is, in the state of emptiness, in its original state, it is inexpressible, self-arisen wisdom. Thus it is said. Introducing Emptiness as Appearance The third is introducing emptiness as appearance: Although the essence is emptiness, and there is no change from the beginning, because from the self-radiance of the all-illuminating awareness, the display of unobstructed potential appears in various ways without mixing, emptiness is also appearance. By introducing it in this way, one will understand the meaning of how such appearances arise from the essence of emptiness-awareness, which is without birth, cessation, transference, or change. As it says in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "Unobstructed potential appears in every way. Awareness is clear and empty, and does not change." And, "The nature of emptiness appears in every way. The characteristic of appearance is without arising." Introducing Appearance and Emptiness as Non-Dual The fourth is introducing appearance and emptiness as non-dual: There are no other causes or conditions than that very appearance and the mere fact of appearance. The self-radiance of emptiness is like the reflection of the moon in clear water, or like various interdependent signs appearing on the surface of a spotless mirror. Appearance and emptiness, non-dual, abide in the nature of their own self-awareness. Therefore, appearance itself and emptiness itself are not two, and cannot be made into two. They are not separate, nor are they undifferentiated. By introducing it in this way, one realizes that appearance has no inherent existence, and thus appearance and emptiness are non-dual. As it says in "Union of Sun and Moon": "For those objects that appear through fixation, who realizes that they have no inherent existence? For them, appearance and emptiness are non-dual." Introducing Non-Duality as Self-Liberation The fifth is introducing non-duality as self-liberation: Even the realization of appearance and emptiness as non-dual is the nature of self-awareness, the uncorrected original state, naturally abiding without cultivation, free from all elaboration, clear and without clinging, the display of various appearances is unobstructed, clarity and emptiness are uncompounded and spontaneously accomplished, the wisdom of the three kayas born together, in the realm of primordial purity, all conceptual thoughts become self-liberated as a snake untying its knot. By introducing it in this way, one realizes that even the clinging and conceptual thoughts that grasp at appearance and emptiness become self-liberated in the state of great primordial liberation of awareness. As it says in "Thal Gyur": "As awareness arises, it is self-liberated like a snake untying its knot." Heart
