It is inconceivable to experience the suffering of one's own individual attitudes and behaviors. Even the sound of speech becomes a cause for duality. Although this mind, if recognized, is no different from the mind of the Buddha, it wanders in samsara due to being controlled by ignorance. Thus, even experiencing the cause and effect of suffering is only in vain. This extremely serious confusion is due to not distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. Now, having decided to separate them and to definitely not wander in samsara again, when the three doors (body, speech, and mind) show signs of fatigue and weariness, one should look at the nature of subsequent consciousness and rest. By doing this repeatedly, if one feels as if there is no body, and there is no attachment to the body, and there is no negation or affirmation, no heat or cold, no sickness, no suffering of hunger and thirst, etc., then that is a sign of separating the body from samsara and nirvana. The sign of speech is that understanding arises from the guru's instructions, without deliberately clinging to the meaning of the words, and wisdom arises spontaneously from meditation, making it easy to understand the meaning of the words of the instructions; that is a sign of separating speech from samsara. The sign of mind is that it is clear and bright without confusion, and joy arises in the instructions, delight in experience, and happiness arises, etc.; that is a sign of separating mind from samsara. Until the signs of separating the three doors individually from samsara are achieved, continue for seven days, eleven days, or half a month, etc., and repeat again and again. The method of distinguishing outwardly.
