First, regarding the way of distinguishing outwardly, there are general and specific aspects. First, the general explanation is: As stated in the 'Teachings to the Son': 'In order to reverse the manifest attachment of body, speech, and mind, one should first engage in practice.' As it is said, in order not to be tainted by the seventh root downfall, one should secretly go to places where there is no human traffic or sight and hearing, such as empty valleys, dense forests, and hillsides, offer a torma to the local deity, and request the activity of not creating obstacles to chaotic behavior. In order to cut off all the illusions of samsara arising from karma and conditions, one should outwardly distinguish between samsara and nirvana. That is, in order to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings who are like mother space, one should separate the three gates of karmic appearance samsara and nirvana, and with the definite intention of never returning to samsara again, engage in various actions of the three gates, and the appearance of fatigue arises, then look at the nature of the subsequent consciousness of complete conviction and rest." }, { "original_tibetan": "བྱེ་བྲག་ཏུ་དབྱེ་བའི་ཚུལ།", "chinese_translation": "分别区分之方式", "english_translation": "The way of distinguishing specifically." 又说:“在《佛子一续》中,喜悦和不喜悦", "english_translation": "Secondly, the way of distinguishing specifically is: As stated in 'After the Past': 'In order to perform the preliminary of the body, practice the various behaviors of the six realms, and also practice the behaviors of the Three Jewels.
