Yes, it was reported that there were so many ordained monks residing in Tibet. Atisha was very pleased to hear this and said that if there were so many ordained monks, then it is the nature of Dharma that Arhats would arise from among them, as stated in the Dharma. Therefore, there must be Arhats residing in Tibet. After that, they were all Mahayana practitioners. When it was reported that most of them held the Madhyamaka view, Atisha was very pleased. They all felt proud and requested the master to go to Tibet. The master said, "I have vowed to fulfill the wishes of the Sangha. If it benefits the Sangha, then I will go." So he agreed. After that, Geshe Dromtönpa sent letters to the Tibetan patrons, informing them to go and welcome him. It is said that the master was invited to Tibet. Later, the master was not very satisfied with the ordination itself. Dromtönpa asked, "How many ordained monks are there in Tibet?" Avadhuti said, "A moderate number." It is said that at that time, everyone in Tibet considered the Dharma King to be the root of their view, and Dharmaraja said, "That is just Mind-Only." Like that, if Geshe Dromtönpa had not arrived and had left directly, then for all these teachings, now we would only be able to listen and teach like scholastic monks. When Geshe Dromtönpa was asked about whether the statements of this Dharma were consistent, he said nothing but, "He is the true disciple of the author." If there is only one commentary on this Dharma, then after making aspirations, the commentary on this Dharma can only be done by me now. That is very true. Even if there is a commentary, it is only to supplement and beautify the text, there will be no pith instructions. In this Dharma, there is only one verse each for the small and medium persons, because Geshe Dromtönpa possessed the pith instructions of Atisha and integrated them into his own experience, and because they relied on each other, all the Dharma brothers cultivated by Geshe himself seemed to be able to directly see the meaning of those two. Now, following the notes of Lhabtön, the so-called "tradition of teaching"; as well as the Eight Sessions; as well as the Gradual Path; as well as the Three Persons; as well as the Lamrim; as well as the name called "Sbreng," all of these rely on this Dharma. The meaning of all these teachings is that it is only through the kindness of the Geshes that they have been transmitted so rigorously.

If you listen and contemplate, it will be like a key to unlocking all the Sutras and Shastras, thereby generating understanding. If, because understanding is vast, you mix everything into this, then this itself will become repetitive, so the Geshes only say a little bit. The Geshes also, because they repeat the words of many people, do not know who to trust, so be diligent in the practice of each individual. Once all the key points of these Dharmas are incorporated, all the Sutras and Shastras have already been explained in the Lamrim. Lhabtön also said: Relying on the instructions of that virtuous spiritual friend, one can obtain a key to unlock all the Dharmas. That is not directly explaining the scriptures, but mixing the oral instructions into them. The Kadampa refers to an oral instruction that arranges all the Buddha's words and treatises in order and puts them into practice according to time and circumstances. It does not refer to something small and few. It is said that without all the key points of these Dharmas, no matter how much one listens and explains, one will become a self-destroyer and make others the object of destruction, and there will be no understanding of one's own practice at all. Four. How did Jowo [Atisha] compose this text?
