The uncreated is of three kinds. Afflictions are equally possessed. The Able One (Shakyamuni Buddha) is of two kinds. His scriptures and faculties, those with form, exist only in a small part. Offering to stupas has great fruit. Bodhisattvas abandoning evil destinies have two kinds of thoughts, so it is said. Merit becoming a collection of the path, and so on, is not allowed. The difference from others is that the disciples of the Kashyapiya school are completely known but not abandoned, and there is no arising from the future continuum. The disciples' dharmas have ripening fruit, relying on this treatise. The tenets of the disciples of the Sthavira school are that there is no future, there is no past, there is no future, there is no present arising, and the truth is seen all at once. Outsiders have no exhaustion of afflictions. Gods have no path. The intermediate state does not exist. Arhats also have merit arising. Pratyekabuddhas are different from the mind. Unconditioned things are nine, namely, three with immovability, two of virtue and non-virtue and undeclared, dependent origination and the paths, which are permanent. The teacher belongs to the Sangha, therefore offering to the Sangha is particularly meaningful. The Victorious One (Buddha) and the Shravaka assembly have the same path and liberation, so it is said. The Dharmaguptaka school is that the Buddha does not belong to the Sangha. Offering to the Buddha has great fruit. The paths of the Buddha and the Shravakas are different. Outsiders have no supernormal powers. The body of an Arhat is without outflows, so it is said. The Mahasamghika school says that impermanence, selflessness, knowledge of emptiness, the path, and nirvana are the supramundane dharmas of the Able One (Shakyamuni Buddha). The rest are mundane, so it is said. Arhats have doubt, etc., so it is accepted. Those who say there is transference are the red-robed school, therefore sentient beings transfer. The four aggregates are definitely of one nature. By the power of the path, the aggregates cease, so it is said.

Ro. The Sarvastivadins hold that the person (pudgala) is truly existent. There is no past except for the unripe fruit. There is no future other than the fruit. There is also no present arising of a different kind. Dharma does not become the immediate cause. There is also no cause similar to form, so they view it. The Sthavira school, the school residing in Jetavana, the school of Abhayagiri, and the school residing in the Mahavihara, these three have the same view, saying that the gods do not practice the path. The Sarvastivada school arose from the seven Sarvastivada schools, the root Sarvastivada. The Sage does not speak Sanskrit well. Bodhisattvas are accomplished from ten to thirty countless kalpas. There is no unconditioned dharma except for liberation. There is no wrong knowledge and no ignorance. Subtle increase is different from mind. In the cessation samapatti, there is mind, they say. The Mahasanghika school, the Ekavyavaharika school, the Gokulika school, and the Prajnaptivada school, these three also have the same view, that the person is neither the aggregates nor a separate entity liberated from the aggregates. The aggregates also remain permanent at other times. From the doors of the five consciousnesses, neither does desire arise, nor is one separated from desire. The path of seeing is twelve moments of mind. Thereafter, one abides in the state of having fruit. What is to be known is speakable and unspeakable, they say, due to the difference of object and teacher, here six differences are spoken of. The 'Wheel of Different Doctrines' was composed by the venerable Vasumitra, and the 'Collected Different Schools' from it was completed by the Vinaya-holder teacher Vinayadeva. 'Collected Presentation of Different Schools' from the 'Wheel of Different Doctrines,' by Vinayadeva.
