I prostrate to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Until I reach the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge in the supreme assembly of Bodhisattvas who are irreversible. Thus, three times. For the sake of liberating the infinite realm of sentient beings, for the sake of arising, for the sake of completely protecting from the suffering of samsara, and for the sake of establishing in the unsurpassed omniscient wisdom. May the root of virtue arising from this confession of sins, and taking refuge in the Three Jewels, and generating the mind of enlightenment, be completely dedicated to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. May the world without refuge, without protector, without place, without relatives, and without island, become refuge, protector, place, relatives, and island. May all sentient beings be liberated from the ocean of samsara. May those who have not completely passed from obscurations be completely liberated by the Nirvana of the Dharmadhatu. May those who have not exhaled, exhale. Thus, three times. I, named so-and-so, having generated the mind of enlightenment in this way, in the infinite realm of sentient beings, such as mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, and other relatives and in-laws, thus, I will separately take them. Having taken them, also according to how the ability is, how the strength is, and how the reliance is, may the root of virtue be perfectly generated.
