Ah! Holding the water vase of faith, wash away the sins of self and others. Holding the supreme rosary of mindfulness, keep the true teachings in mind. Holding the lamp of awareness in hand, carefully take each step with mindfulness. On the body of generosity free from illness, put on the garment of pure morality. Fully display the radiance of patience, diligently practice the limbs of perseverance. In the house of Samadhi, carefully prepare the food of meditation. Open the door with the light of wisdom, in the great hall of emptiness and wisdom, the beings of the three realms gather like guests. Treat them diligently with aspiration and compassion, according to the order of skillful means, hold a grand feast with the power of the true Dharma. With the precious wheel of faith, lead the way of virtue day and night. With the precious queen of morality, wear the garland of unparalleled beauty. With the precious minister of generosity, arise the great power of merit and wisdom. With the precious general of learning, crush the enemy of wrong views. With the noble horse of knowing shame, hide afflictions in the womb of selflessness. With the elephant of the power of embarrassment, abandon inverted actions. With the precious jewel of wisdom, fulfill the wishes of self and others. The wealth of the endless qualities of the noble ones, other mundane wealth is the cause of suffering. Initially relying on a virtuous teacher, all inner and outer Dharmas are the guru. Forests and other things change with time, showing the impermanence and emptiness of compounded phenomena. Black and other causes and effects are different, showing the infallibility of conventional truth. Corpses and bones, water and trees, etc., all inner and outer Dharmas show selflessness. The sky that pervades everything shows the ultimate truth of freedom from elaboration, etc. With the wisdom that fully understands nature, look in all directions with unattached eyes. At that time, whatever appears in the place, is not attached like an illusion. If the true Dharma is realized, what is the use of words? If you can find a supreme friend, it is very auspicious. If not, you can also stay alone. Bees buzz and sing, tree branches dance, and birds make pleasant sounds. Cool breezes blow gently, sweeping away dust. Streams flow and make sounds. Beautiful deer run and play, and flowers bloom like smiles. Sandalwood incense and other fragrances emanate. The quiet

With such virtues, benefiting oneself and others, without expecting any return, why abandon the yogi with many friends? Ordinary people in the world are not like this, like deer in the forest, eating their roots, stems, and branches. Or like bees taking nectar from flowers, taking pure and righteous livelihood. Or like skillful birds, accumulating a little wealth without sin. Like bears in the forest, relying on the warmth of shelter. Or like inferior and useless clothes, or combined with the power of merit. Like chasing deer in the mountains, sleeping comfortably and peacefully. Thus, the guru teaches, practice yoga on the true meaning. Without being swayed by agitation and dullness, equally practice shamatha and vipassana. Even if inner shamatha is not attained, rely on outer shamatha and practice as much as possible, day and night without negligence. Thus, with the accumulation of merit, one's own mind becomes like a clear mirror. Without attachment to this, wisdom and knowledge will arise. Without doubt and with faith, focusing on one dharma, infinite qualities will appear, and good history and the teachings themselves will be seen. Therefore, even in the context of qualities, it is the source of the bodhisattva's conduct, and the wisdom that distinguishes between what to take and what to abandon. This correct recitation of names should also be fully accomplished until the perfect Buddha Dharma. The mind is like a vast ocean, and the conduct is like the boundless blooming of lotuses. Because the mind is narrow like a pond, this is written only as a cluster of lotuses. The practice of relative bodhicitta, called "A Cluster of Lotuses," is completed, written by the great scholar Ashvaghosa. The Indian abbot Padmakaravarma and the translator-reviser Bhikshu Rinchen Zangpo translated, revised, and finalized it.
