If observing what? If something is to be accomplished or prevented, since it doesn't exist, there is no fault in it. If those meanings of yours are well established by valid cognition, then tell me how those valid cognitions of yours are established? If you think they are established by other valid cognitions, that is endless. Moreover, it is neither the first to be established or not, nor the middle, nor the last. However, if those are established even without valid cognition, then speech is reversed. If different is it, then please state the difference in reasoning. Just as fire makes the self of others manifest, like one's own self. Similarly, if you say that valid cognitions also establish their own nature, then what is said is inconsistent, like a vase in the dark. Because it is not observed, not seen, fire does not manifest itself. If your words are, fire makes its own nature manifest, then fire, like others, would also burn itself. If your words are, fire makes itself and others manifest, like fire, darkness would also obscure itself and others. The one that burns and any other, where there is fire, there is no darkness. If the manifester can dispel darkness, how can it manifest? Saying that fire arises and manifests is not correct, when fire arises, it is only that it does not encounter darkness. Or, even if it does not encounter fire, it can dispel darkness, then what is here that can dispel the darkness of all the worlds? If valid cognition is established from itself, without relying on the measurable, your valid cognition is established, it is self-established, not relying on others. If for the meanings of the measurable, without relying, your valid cognition is established, then these valid cognitions will not become anyone's. However, if they are established by relying, if you want that, what fault is there in that? Not established, not relying on others, is the establisher establishing. If completely relying on the measurable, valid cognition can be established, without relying on valid cognitions, the measurable can be established. If for valid cognitions, without relying, the measurable can also be established, because those can be established, what is the use of your valid cognition being established? If your valid cognitions, rely on the measurable to be established, then your valid cognition and the measurable are definite.

It will be reversed. However, if you establish the measure, then the object to be measured will be established; if the object to be measured is established, then the measure will be proven, and neither of the two will be established by you. If the measure and the object to be measured are established, and those objects to be measured should also prove them, then how will they be proven? If the object to be measured proves the measure, and those measures should also prove them, then how will they be proven? If the father begets the son, if that son also begets the father, then please say who begets whom? Both of them hold the characteristics of father and son, therefore, I am doubtful about that, please say which is the father and which is the son? The measures are not established by themselves, nor by each other, not by other measures, nor by the object to be measured, nor without a cause. The wise who are well versed in the state of Dharma, should distinguish the nature of the virtuous Dharma of all Dharmas by virtue, and should be expressed in this way. If some nature of virtuous Dharmas arises dependently, that is for the sake of others, then how will one's own essence be established? However, if virtuous Dharmas do not arise dependent on anything, then the pure conduct will not exist, because the reason for having no cause is permanence. All Dharmas will become permanent, there is no Dharma and non-Dharma, and there is no worldly name. Non-virtue and the unstated, as well as things produced by them, have the same faults. Therefore, all your conditioned phenomena will become unconditioned phenomena. To the person who says that someone has inherent existence, you answer in this way, but do not say that my name exists. Is this called nameless existing or not existing? If it exists or does not exist, both of your words have failed. Because the emptiness of all things has been explained before, therefore, even without a vow, one should look for any dispute. However, if there is a nature, and that does not exist in the Dharma, this doubt is unreasonable, but this doubt is produced by you. If you deny existence itself, then emptiness is completely established, and things have no inherent nature.
