The explanation of the second chapter. The explanation of the second chapter. Now, it is said for the purpose of showing the path of knowledge. For the sake of making the gods amenable, with light he dispelled arrogance, and the determination and pervasiveness of the place, and the nature and its actions. That is, dispelling arrogance means making the races of gods who are extremely intoxicated with pride lose their light. With light, it means with the light of the Buddha's body. For what purpose is it said? It is said for the sake of making them amenable, and being amenable means transmitting from one to another, and ultimately achieving Buddhahood, which is the mind of enlightenment. Therefore, the meaning of dispelling arrogance is for the purpose of generating the mind of enlightenment. The Bhagavan is higher and more excellent than all worldly beings, therefore, in order to attain his nature, one should generate the mind of enlightenment. The determination of the place means that those who are destined for the place of generating the mind of enlightenment are those of the Bodhisattva lineage, not those of the Hearer lineage, etc. The difference is that it is definite for the enlightenment of Hearers and Solitary Realizers who only go to peace, so apart from them, all other Hearers, etc. who have become enlightened should also generate the mind of enlightenment. Therefore, generating the mind of enlightenment pervades all of these. Nature means abandoning attachment to nirvana for the sake of sentient beings and not completely abandoning all afflictions. Its action means that as long as samsara is not empty, benefiting beings according to their abilities, as it should be, is the action of a Bodhisattva. Knowing the path is only for Bodhisattvas, so some think that the path of Hearers etc. should not be shown here. Bodhisattvas should purify the path of Hearers etc. with their own wisdom and practice it, so the path of Hearers is taught. Regarding the way of knowing the path itself: Through the gate of not fixating on the aspects of the four noble truths, this Hearer's path should be known. That is, for the truth of suffering, it is impermanence, and suffering, and emptiness.

That is, suchness itself, peacefulness itself, there are four types. Peacefulness means the meaning of selflessness. For the truth of arising, there are arising, causality, arising, conditionality, disease, result, blind spot, and unpleasantness, with eight classifications. Furthermore, for the truths of suffering and arising, there are otherness, the nature of destruction, impermanence, and quiescence, with four classifications. Furthermore, for these, there are fearfulness, harmfulness, and guiding nature, with three classifications. For the truth of cessation, there are self-nature, peacefulness, detachment, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and unconditionality, with seven classifications. For the truth of the path, there are path nature, wisdom nature, accomplishment nature, and liberation nature, with four classifications. These are the paths by which the Shravakas enter the city of Nirvana. Bodhisattvas do not fixate on the nature of the grasper and the grasped of these aspects, and through the nature of complete contemplation of non-duality, and through this path of truly knowing reality as it is, they attain perfect and complete enlightenment. Other paths such as the heat stage of the Shravakas are taught separately. Thus, Bodhisattvas should act in this way, and it is taught in this way. In the noble Shravaka path, because form and so on are empty, and the emptiness of all dharmas is without difference, therefore those in the heat stage are unattainable, and this is considered the peak. Here, by means of characteristics and so on, the abiding is prevented, and this is considered patience. Starting from the ten bhumis, with the extensive teaching of non-abiding, it is said to transform into the most excellent dharma. Why is this so? Because after the Buddha knew, he did not see the aspects of dharmas. Thus, the emptiness of the aggregates such as form, and the emptiness of form and so on are inseparable, which is the heat stage. Knowing them means that because one does not fixate on form and so on, one becomes the peak. Here, that is, on form and so on, preventing the abiding of permanence and impermanence is considered patience. The ten bhumis are...
