Summary. Summary. In Indian language: Sanchaya Gatha Panjika. In Tibetan: A Commentary on the Compendium of Verses. First Chapter. Homage to the All-Knowing One. The kings of the Buddhas, the sons of the Sugatas, and those who merely desire to protect virtue, with the distinction of engaging with superior fruits and causes, and with inferior minds, whoever knows all aspects of the path and all knowable things, who is the supreme other shore? Having long relied on the mother who leads beings, with a mind free from delusion, I will extensively explain that treatise. It is the lifeblood of all beings without exception, free from the defilement of error. Although the wise exert effort to adorn this treatise, for that very reason, I too should definitely enter into this, for the path traversed by the wise does not fail to become a great realm. Moreover, by truly gathering together, for the sake of those who have faith in the vast, in order to purify the cause and effect perfectly, with the three occasions of all-knowingness, the extensive explanation of the Bhagavan Mother Prajnaparamita, also extensively reveals with verses, desiring to clarify the faults such as repetition, therefore spoke the words "Furthermore," and so on. The word "Furthermore" is at the end of the extensive explanation, or immediately after understanding that the wisdom of the cycle is briefly summarized and shown, making it suitable to be heard. This conjunction of words is generally because it should be spoken immediately after. In another way, the word "Furthermore" can be seen as an ornament of speech here. The name Bhagavan is because of subduing the four maras, or because of possessing qualities such as power. The word "possessing" refers to power and so on, as it is said: Power and beauty, fame and splendor, wisdom and diligence, possessing these six, is called possessing. As it is said. Among them, the perfect power of the Bhagavan is the purity of Suchness, the nature of being devoid of all habitual tendencies of discrimination, accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others, it is because of this that there is a superior distinction. Perfect beauty is, other than that, the source of wisdom.

Therefore, it is wisdom like a mirror. Because the nature of the Bhagavan has the same characteristics as this wisdom. Fame and perfect glory are the wisdom of equality. Because it is distinguished by precious qualities such as compassion, it is able to benefit all beings, and patience is the true foundation of all perfect fame, and it possesses glory. Perfect wisdom is discriminating wisdom. Because its nature is to completely cut off all things without inversion. Perfect diligence is the wisdom of action distinguished by the complete purification of the perfection of diligence. Therefore, it should be applied to the Bhagavan Sugata, adorned with such excellent and incomparable qualities, who spoke these verses. Saying this again is also to completely abandon those who are disrespectful to the wisdom taught by the verses. If it is not like this, but is taught by others, there will be suspicion of inverted teaching, and thus become unbelieving. So, what did the Bhagavan teach, and did he speak these verses? Again, he taught this Prajnaparamita, and at that time he spoke these verses. This is to say that those contents that were previously widely taught themselves. It is the Dharma that distinguishes the practice of wisdom. Its other shore, in the stage of faithful conduct, is the conviction that all dharmas are selfless. In stages such as the Extremely Joyful Ground, it is also free from all conceptual thoughts. Therefore, those who have become the nature of such other shore are the Prajnaparamita. To teach those, means to proclaim the absence of attachment to conceptual thoughts such as people. Because the Prajnaparamita that exists in the stage of faithful conduct is the nature of conceptual thought, as soon as the verses are heard, isn't it the case that the creation based on scriptures arises in the continuum of those to be tamed in the manner of arising? The transcendent is not like that, because that is

Because it is the nature beyond conceptualization, and also because it does not arise immediately upon hearing. If it were not so, then meditation would become meaningless. If unerring wisdom arises immediately after hearing, then meditation would not increase anything at all. If one were to realize the meaning by merely hearing, then meditation would become meaningless, as it is said. How then can it be said that this Prajnaparamita is taught without distinction? This is because believing in selflessness arises without distinction in the state of transcendence and the other state. Thus, for those yogis who have realized the transcendent ground, when they arise, they also feel that this is exactly as the Blessed One has said, and their discriminating mind does not think that hearing and realization are different. Therefore, relying on the entry of such discrimination, there is no contradiction in emphatically proclaiming the supreme wisdom from the perspective of convention. The wisdom that eliminates the faults of discrimination actually arises only through the power of meditation, so meditation is not without fruit either. For those who have a mind of previous habituation and complete meditation, non-discriminating wisdom arises merely upon hearing the teaching of the Prajnaparamita, so there is no contradiction with the teaching itself. Just as it is said that when this teaching of the Prajnaparamita was proclaimed, sixty thousand Bodhisattvas attained the tolerance of non-arising phenomena, and so on. Then, why teach what has already been extensively taught before? The Blessed One spoke of "those four assemblies" and so on. Saying "those" is to indicate that it is precisely those who were previously taught about selflessness who are suitable, and not others, in order to indicate this. The so-called "those four assemblies" refers to monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen. These alone encompass all the main beings to be subdued. Or, this is the superior aspect of the ordained community taught by the Blessed One.
