Second Chapter. Second Chapter. The aspects that have been discussed cannot be accomplished without cultivating antidotes. Therefore, the antidote to understanding the path itself is proclaimed as "realizing all aspects of knowledge." The limbs of the path, its own nature, its cause, and its results should be generally discussed. Among these, first, the limb of the path is spoken of as "being capable of generating understanding of the path itself." Humility, generating the mind of enlightenment, all vehicles, not abandoning afflictions in all aspects, the characteristic of accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings, as the basis, individual determination, pervasiveness, nature, and those named as actions, are said to be limbs of the path because they are limbs of non-antidotes. Therefore, without them, understanding the path will not arise, so temporarily making them the object, it can be said in this way. When speaking of the nature of the path, temporarily speaking of the nature of the Hearer's path is "such a basis," and so on. Because there is no difference in the truths and their aspects in terms of the divisions of vehicles, the difference made by object and non-object should be explained. Even so, in the first vehicle, the truths to be objectified by the yoga of non-objectification of a Bodhisattva are different from the aspects, and are even more superior. For example, at the end of the eight different aspects of suffering and origin, each has three aspects of renunciation, detachment, and cessation. The first of these, by being incompatible and by antidote and intention, are the other shore and the nature of destruction. The second, also by the nature of not remaining and by destruction without relying on cause, are the two aspects of shaking and extreme destruction. The third, with fear in both this life and the next, and harm done by both mind and non-mind, are the three aspects of fear, epidemic disease, and harm. Thus, seven aspects are superior. Similarly, in cessation, too...

The four constant benefits that are in accordance with the four aspects of conformity, namely emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and non-conceptualization, are even more excellent. Because there is no reason for the path to have superior aspects, it is merely different. Therefore, these twenty-six aspects based on the Four Noble Truths, even if they are related to Bodhisattvas, are for the purpose of fully understanding the cause of the accomplishment of the Dharma, and therefore are the path of the Hearers themselves, so there is no contradiction. The nature of the first path has been spoken of. Saying its cause is "completely understanding the Four Noble Truths," and so on. Regarding this, the difference in aspects and its cause should also be stated. Among them, by undifferentiatedly focusing on emptiness and so on, and by not focusing on it, and by preventing the places of focusing on permanence and so on, and by the nature of the four aspects of preventing the position of the tenth ground, when the Four Noble Truths are made the object, the five aspects of the path that are spoken of arise, and these aspects are also more excellent because they are not focused on by valid cognition. Because the first two vehicles do not have a difference in aspects, it is said that the difference is approximated by the aspects of the fruit and the object, such as what is called the Hearer's path and so on. Among them, not relying on the approximate display of others, but the self-arisen wisdom itself, and profundity itself are the difference of the fruit, and the non-focusing on the conceptualization of what is to be grasped, and the ground of merely the conceptualization of what is to be held, through the aspects of the previously spoken aspects, speaking of focusing on the truth, is the difference of the object and the aspect. These two differences do not arise without the difference of the cause, therefore saying it is "if one obtains conformity with the part of ascertainment," and so on. Because the aspects of what is to be grasped, such as form, are not focused on, therefore, it is merely born from names, and there is no decrease or increase, and completely not clinging to the emptiness of the interior and so on, and focusing by preventing the aspects of arising and ceasing, is the difference of the cause. The fruit of the first vehicle is easily understood only from the power of speaking of the fruit of the second vehicle, therefore it is not explained separately. The third vehicle is the path of...
