The Sādhanā of Glorious Lord of the World The Sādhanā of Glorious Lord of the World In Sanskrit: Śrīlokanāthasādhanam (श्रीलोकानाथासाधनम्, Śrī Loka-nātha Sādhanam, The Auspicious Sādhanā of the Protector of the World) In Tibetan: The Sādhanā of Glorious Lord of the World. Homage to the Noble Avalokiteśvara! By merely the name of whom, one enters into a glorious hundred kalpas, I bow to the Lord of the World, and shall explain the condensed Sādhanā. Here, first, for a while, the mantra practitioner who especially meditates should rise early, and sit comfortably on a seat in a place that suits the mind. One should perform the practice of protecting the place and oneself with the mantra of three syllables. In front, one should smear a round maṇḍala with Kashmiri saffron and red sandalwood, and in an instant, meditate on emptiness. From the moon disc born from the letter A in one's heart, completely expand to destroy the darkness of the heart. One should gaze at the Hūṃ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, shame) syllable, which is like a red lotus with the dawn rising, radiating a mass of light. From that, light radiates and pervades the ten directions. With the hook of the fully radiating Hūṃ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, shame) syllable, one should invite the space in front. The wise one who wishes to gather all the worlds into one should contemplate the Sugatas and their retinues, as well as those who hold the lotus mudrā, and offer them perfectly with the five offerings such as flowers. In front of them, one should join palms and prostrate, and meditate as much as possible from the confession of sins to equanimity. Oṃ, Svabhāva Śuddhaḥ Sarva Dharmāḥ Svabhāva Śuddho 'haṃ (ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿསྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།, oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho 'haṃ, Oṃ, purity of essence, all dharmas, purity of essence am I), by this, one is especially liberated. Oṃ, Śūnyatā Jñāna Vajra Svabhāva Ātmako 'haṃ (ཨོཾ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ ཧཾ་, oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātma ko 'haṃ, Oṃ, emptiness, wisdom, vajra, essence, self am I), by this, one should bless. Then, following the previous aspiration, one should awaken thoroughly with great compassion. On the various lotuses born from the letter Paṃ (པཾ, paṃ), dwells the circle of moonlight born from the first vowel. One should contemplate the lotus in the center, born from the Hūṃ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, shame) syllable, which is like the color of the Bandhuka flower, and especially dwells in the Hūṃ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, shame) syllable, like the rays of the sun. Then, from the seed syllable, light certainly radiates, and in the Buddha fields, makes the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas manifest. The accumulation of their merit and wisdom.
