Arapacana Sadhana in Prose, by Padmasambhava. Arapacana Sadhana in Prose. Padmasambhava. In Sanskrit: Muktakana Arapacana Sadhanam. In Tibetan: Arapacana Sadhana in Prose. Homage to the Noble Manjushri! First, the reciter should sit comfortably on a comfortable seat in a suitable place, and visualize in their heart a moon arising from the letter A, on the fifth of the fourth seed syllable, with the letter I at the end, and endowed with a bindu and a visarga. Visualize that the collection of its rays dispels the darkness of afflictions dwelling in the heart, and cultivate the four brahmaviharas, namely loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. In the order that follows, what is loving-kindness? It is the joyful mind towards all sentient beings as if they were one's only child. What is compassion? It is the desire to liberate sentient beings suffering from the three kinds of suffering from the ocean of samsara. What is joy? It is the joyful mind towards the power and wealth that others enjoy by generating roots of virtue and so on. What is equanimity? It is the nature of being free from anger and attachment in all its aspects, and entering into the nature of reality spontaneously. After cultivating the four brahmaviharas, the light arising from the seed syllable in one's own heart pervades all directions of the sky, inviting the gurus, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, and regarding them as working together for the benefit of beings. From the light of the seed syllable in one's own heart, emanate various kinds of divine fragrances and flowers, and so on. First, offer a mandala, then join the palms together, touch the lotus feet of the gurus, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas with one's head, and respectfully prostrate. Then, offer flowers, incense, lamps, perfumes, powders, Dharma robes, victory banners, bells, and streamers, and so on, which arise from that very light, with outer and inner offerings. This is the offering. Then, perform confession and so on. In all lifetimes, whatever sins I have accumulated, whether born from desire, or born from hatred, or born from ignorance, or the body

Isn't it? Is it pure? With all that has been done, I confess each separately, this is reciting the confession. Whatever merit there is, that all the Tathagatas equally rely on for perfect enlightenment, and the Pratyekabuddhas, and the noble lamas, and I rejoice in the merit of all of them. This is rejoicing in merit. To the Buddhas abiding in all three times without exception, pervading without limit, adorned with the collection of qualities of compassion, and the Sangha who have abandoned all faults, and to the noble Dharma, I respectfully take refuge. This is taking refuge in the Three Jewels. Relying on the completely pure path of the Victorious Ones, it is difficult to find Brahma, Indra, the Fierce One, and so on. Whatever collection of merit I have accumulated here, may I generate the excellent Bodhicitta. This is relying on the path of the Victorious Ones and generating Bodhicitta, the two. Thus, after the sevenfold unsurpassed offering, with the words of the lama, including the outer and inner, contemplate emptiness. Again, for the sake of making it stable, recite the words, "Om Svabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho Ham (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦདྷརྨའཿསྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:ॐ स्वभाव शुद्धः सर्वधर्माः स्वभाव शुद्धोऽहम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham,汉语字面意思:嗡,自性清净,一切法,自性清净,我)". After that, contemplate the form of one's own mind, and the nature of being unobstructed, as the form of a moon mandala arising from the vowel letters. After that, is the seed syllable shown earlier. From that arises the moon. When the seed syllable has completely transformed, it is the form of a sword radiating light. Then, in the center of what is held, possessing the rabbit-holder, is the seed syllable shown earlier. When the sword and the seed syllable have completely transformed, it is Manjushri, possessing a collection of light like an autumn moon, illuminating the ten directions of the world. The right hand of the two hands holds the sword of wisdom that completely cuts off all ignorance. The left hand holds a scripture filled with a collection of treatises that have become all methods. Adorned with all ornaments, wearing red clothes. Single-pointedly abiding in meditation. A face of a fully blooming lotus. Eyes like lotus petals, generated and beautified by the marks of a great being. Indra Nila
