Through experience, the aggregates transform into abodes. Since it is impossible for them to exist with characteristics and substantiality, they abide in the wisdom illusory body. Abiding in this way, the body appears as emptiness without inherent existence, and since evil has no cause, it is not stained by emptiness. Moreover, at the time of transformation, the yellow Vajra of earth appears, its expanse immeasurable, and similarly, the white Vajra of water, the red of fire, the green of wind. The blue color of space, its breadth and extent immeasurable, should arise. Arising as the body of a deity is the very arising, and the three are the key to liberation into the three bodies. Recognizing one's own mind and seeking qualities, how does the mind abide at the time of the three bodies when acting in this way? At the time of arising, it abides in a state of separation of cause and condition. Since there is no fault of being bound by the five elements, the conditions of the five elements manifest as various qualities of the body of Vajradhara. At the time of the deity, the clinging to holding beings as one's own continuum abides in self-purification. There is no fault of being bound by the five aggregates, and the conditions of the coagulation of flesh and blood manifest as various qualities of the lineage of Vajradhara. At the time of wisdom, there is no grasping of self in the nature of reality, and since there is no fault of clinging to the nature of reality as self with an object, the faults of temporary defilements are pacified. Various qualities of the heart of Vajradhara manifest. Seeking the place of the mind is seeking in external objects and seeking within the mind. External objects are the objects of the five senses. Whatever arises as the perception of the senses, not thinking or contemplating on it, that is the place of the mind. In short, the mind abides in everything that appears as an object. Seeking the place within the inner body, from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head, the body pervades from beginning to end, but especially abides in the four chakras of the body. At the time of meditation, it abides in the bliss at the crown of the head. At the time of the unspoken, it abides in the heart. At the time of practicing afflictions, it abides in the throat. At the time of sleep, it abides in the navel. Placing the abiding on oneself, in ordinary times, place it in self-appearance and self-manifestation. At the time of visualizing the deity, place it in indivisible clarity and emptiness. At the time of abiding in meditation, place the flowing in the cause and condition. At the time of recitation, place it in naked placement, naked liberation. At the time of transforming abiding into non-abiding wisdom, at the time of recitation, first do not let the mind abide.

Then, abiding in that state, shifting the meditation session, one should train in all the dharmas encompassed by appearance and sound. Second, eradicate the object and consciousness. Third, the self-grasping of non-inherent existence naturally ceases. To repeat: When is the time when the mind and the environment are in harmony, and how should the yoga of the mind be practiced? Abiding without abiding, this is the time when one's mind is in harmony with the environment. First, the object is non-abiding in itself. At that time, the mind should be skilled in repeatedly drawing back. Second, when is the time to abandon the root of object and consciousness? It is when thoughts cease and the breath no longer moves in and out. At that time, the mind should be skilled in repeatedly releasing. Third, when does the self-grasping of non-inherent existence naturally cease? It is when one does not abide in dharmas and individuals, focuses on meditation, and the continuum is severed. At that time, the mind should be skilled in repeatedly binding. Finally, if one has reached the yoga of meditation, then the following adjustments should be made: Anoint the body with sandalwood paste, and the limbs should be endowed with (ཧཱུ༵, Tibetan, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum). The mind is combined with the movement and light of the breath, and the experience of clear awareness, bliss and clarity, is naturally liberated. It is liberated into emptiness without a trace. That is the experience of being free from attachment to any extreme, and it is certain to arise in the yogi's continuum. The view of not clinging to the limits of sound is certain to arise in the yogi's continuum: External and internal objects are turned away from intentional effort. In the relative truth, the meaning of viewing phenomena in common relies on the continuum, and since there is no clinging to one's own continuum beyond mere objects, in the ultimate truth, the meaning of viewing the distinctiveness of dharmata relies on the continuum. Thus, the arising of clinging to the sound image of the object naturally ceases, so it also arises in the sound alone, which is inseparable from the ultimate and relative truths. That is the meaning of the view of detachment, which relies on the continuum. When aversion arises from the activities of the mind, the gathering of sounds gradually merging into meditation is certain, and all the activities of the mind in both the generation and completion stages are naturally pure, so the mind that desires samsara has no place to dwell. Thus, by not abiding, one abides in profound meditation in whatever posture of walking, lying, sitting, or standing. There is no other mind apart from that, and that is the measure. By abiding in this way, it is called a virtuous intention. Because it is firm and does not change from that, the mind arises.
