The practitioner who desires to receive empowerment in the mandala of the twenty-eight constellations, endowed with vows, should spread flowers in a pleasing place, perform the preliminary ground-laying rituals, and then construct the mandala of the constellations: in the center, an eight-petaled lotus, white with a blue center. The periphery is beautifully surrounded by a garland of lotuses. The courtyard is made of red silk, starting from the east, surrounded by various pleasing seven-by-seven houses, four doors, and a periphery of various twinkling starlight. Starting from the first vase in the east, visualize the Pleiades constellation as white, with one face and a thousand hands, the right hand holding a conch shell, nectar flowing from the mouth, riding on a white dog. Similarly, the others are similar, with the Rohini constellation being yellow-green in color, holding a large arrow in the hand, riding on a fish, the head being white-smoky in color, a wheel.
