The Gentle Song of the Dakinis. The Gentle Song of the Dakinis. In Sanskrit: Ḍākinī Talagīti Nāma (डाकिनी तलगिति नाम, The Gentle Song of the Dakinis). In Tibetan: Called the Gentle Song of the Dakinis. Homage to the Bhagavati Selfless Mother! In the land of Oddiyana, the realm of the Dakinis, in the great charnel ground, the play of sparkling stars, at the time when the Dakini Sukhasiddhi Mahasiddha was surrounded by the holy assembly, the yogi Kamalashila, having realized the meaning of the innate wisdom of his own suchness, and having gained confidence in having mastered it, with the power of the unobstructed manifestation of the skill of experience, expressing that great non-dual wisdom on the horse of words, sang in the assembly. The Dakinis, who were made of wisdom and karma, rejoiced and gathered like a mass of clouds in the sky in front, pouring out heartfelt secret words to the yogi, singing: Kyeho! Son of a powerful lineage! The dance of the Vajra of accomplishing the true meaning! Fortunate one who has awakened the karma of practice! Lord of the treasure of the power of qualities! Body adorned with two siddhis! Supreme among humans, lord of the assembly! You are nourished by the nature of cause and condition, You drink the remnants of the karma of practice. You have found the wish-fulfilling jewel of qualities, You dwell in the radiance of the great clear light. You perform the benefit of beings as if it were an illusion, Incomparable yogi of the sky! There is no need to urge you, But listen to our song. In general, sentient beings are deluded by karma, They enjoy themselves in the place of suffering. Unable to bear this, compassion falls upon the flesh. Now, if you do not have compassion, How will you be the parents of the six realms of beings? Generate the mind of benefiting others, yogi! In general, the young child of intelligence likes to be distracted, The appearance of delusion is a great show. The thief of grasping and being grasped, with a raised head, The consciousness of duality is drowsy, The spark of the antidote is small, The mindfulness of awareness is loose, There is a danger of losing the jewel of self-nature. Do not be distracted by external objects, yogi! In the unchanging basis, the sky-like consort, The five poisons of afflictions have entered the intestines, The demons of grasping and being grasped, nine brothers, are harming, Following the delusion of good and bad circumstances, The behavior of attachment and aversion is not good, The disease of grasping and being grasped recurs.

I arise to awaken you! The happiness of one's own body has been lost. Deluded sentient beings are so pitiful! You should do deeds for the benefit of others, yogi! In general, the wisdom of the mind is so small! Always listening to the falsehood of the five senses. There is a danger of throwing the six types of beings into the abyss. You should cut off dualistic grasping, yogi! The fleeting thoughts are so unrestrained. In the palace of the alaya consciousness, Without engaging in effortless rest, Indulging in the deceptive allure of desires, Playing with the five poisons as friends. Due to being distracted by attachment and aversion to objects, There is a danger of being drawn into the abyss of the lower realms. Close the doors of the five senses, Imprison the child of the mind, Lie down on the bed of bliss, clarity, and emptiness. You should not be distracted, yogi! In the river of birth, old age, and death, The foolish one without a raft delights in playing. Even though there is a boat of leisure and opportunity, Without relying on the guidance of the guru, Chatting idly in the waves of non-virtuous actions, Fleeing in panic from the waves of suffering. Do not be completely immersed in the mud of attachment, Strive to reach the dry land of liberation! You should abandon desire, yogi! On the poisonous tree of desire, The branches of acceptance and rejection diverge. The leaves of attachment grow luxuriantly in all directions, The flowers of effort fly into the sky, The fruits of suffering fall downwards, The mindless monkey waits to pluck them. There is a danger of dying in the forest of samsara. The man who is free from various attachments, Holding the unwavering sword of confidence, Uproots the tree of desire, Takes away all the fruits of the five poisons. Completely exhausts the power of the poison. You should abandon desire, yogi! The mountain deer perished because of sound, It was because of pursuing fame. Towards praise and blame like echoes in the valley, Do not be biased, yogi! The elephant is subdued by the iron hook, It is because of being attached to the enjoyment of wine. Do not be too attached to desires like salty water, yogi! The peacock died alone, It was because of seeing feathers as ornaments. Do not be too self-righteous with the impure body of the four elements, yogi! The bee is trapped in the mud, It is because of being attached to the smell of flowers. Towards the temporary relationships of relatives and friends, Do not be too attached, yogi! The moth is burned by the flame, It is because of being attached to the light of the lamp oil.
