Habits will not reverse, even if understood within eyes afflicted with cataracts. Unless the eye disease is cured, the blurry appearance will not revert. Holding the nature of reality in mind while clinging to experience, becoming familiar with and meditating on that very meaning, is the cause of straying. Attachment and aversion arise towards agreeable things, therefore binding. All unfavorable adverse conditions are supreme accomplishments, because unfavorable conditions illuminate the yogi's experience. Do not abandon adverse conditions; purify them by understanding them. Thus nurturing and bringing experience and realization to their culmination is conduct, like urging on castanets with a whip. If an accomplished one lacks a virtuous companion in conduct, it is like an incapable man without legs. One should train in the authentic, unattached meaning of ultimate reality, without abandoning, without striving, without clinging, without acting, without obstructing. Acting in whatever way is comfortable for oneself is supremely excellent and sacred. Even if one possesses the great confidence of a Nirmanakaya Buddha, one should not abandon the vast assembly of sentient beings; one should strive as much as possible. Even if one has no doubt about samsara, is fearless, one should still refrain from even the slightest sinful actions. Even if one realizes that all phenomena are empty like space, without root, one should still abandon all clinging and attachment from their very root. Even if one realizes the meaning of the great, unobstructed expanse of dharmata, one should still conceal one's experiences and realizations from others until one has gained stability. Even if one realizes that in ultimate reality there is no duality of self and other, one should still contemplate the great benefit of helping beings in relative reality. Even if one becomes a guide who does not rely on others, possessing confidence, one should still revere the kind lama on the crown of one's head. Engaging in acceptance and rejection of everything with attachment and clinging, conduct that is incompatible and contradictory to one's own mindstream is straying. Because there is no seer or seen, differences are liberated in their own place. Because the experiencer is lost, one is free from all effort and accomplishment. Because the fruit to be obtained is lost, one is liberated from all hope and expectation. Because the ego-grasping is uprooted, one is victorious over the armies of Mara. Because grasping at reality dissolves in its own place, one is liberated from all of samsara and nirvana. Because awareness is pure in its ground, it is called complete enlightenment. Because dharma and wisdom are exhausted at their point of exhaustion, it is said to be nirvana. Unfabricated, unaltered, completely liberated from all abandonment and attainment. Emaho! That profound great sound called Mahamudra, what is its basis? Emptiness is merely a designation.

Who realizes the selflessness of emptiness in an instant? The one who realizes is also without self, merely a name, merely a sound, just labeled. That itself is not true, it is the appearance for those to be tamed. Even those to be tamed are without self, like illusion, like emanation. The name "Mahamudra" is conceived by the mind of a child. "Mistaken" and "not mistaken" are merely names labeled. Who is the wise one who perceives delusion? If the fruit of Nirvana is not even a speck of dust and cannot be seen, "Liberation" and "non-liberation" are sudden fabrications. In the peaceful and pure sky, there is nothing, so what is liberation? "Conventional" and "ultimate" are also forcefully established. In the realm of Dharma, there is no duality, there is no realm of Dharma. "Doha Treasury" - composed by the Lord of Yoga, Virupa, is complete. Translated into one's own language by the Indian Abbot Shri Vairocana. The lineage is: Virupa, Krishnacharya, Acharya Gramapadaka, Acharya Purapa, Shri Vairocana. Named "Doha Treasury".
