Explanation of the Five Seals of the Tathagatas, Non-Dual Vajra. Explanation of the Five Seals of the Tathagatas, Non-Dual Vajra. In Indian language: Tathāgatapañcamudrāvipara. In Tibetan: Explanation of the Five Seals of the Tathagatas. Homage to Vajrasattva! All that arises from conditions is always empty, because its nature is empty, things do not exist. The nature of the mind is one, not discontinuous, not mixed. May the five aggregates, such as form, become victorious as the five conquerors! The five aggregates are the five Tathagatas. Therein, in order to realize the basis as mere consciousness, it is sealed with the seal of Akshobhya. Thus, since the external appearance is only mind, there is no object to be grasped, and the grasper is also empty. By merely experiencing the ultimate truth of abandoning the grasped and the grasper, one abides in consciousness. That, like the center of an autumn sky that is completely pure, is said to be without appearance, and it is established that the main entity is said to be consciousness. It is also said: The nature of emptiness is constant, without appearance and without form, the truth is only self-aware bliss, the collection of subsequent appearances is an illusion. Thus it is said. It is also said that one obtains the two form bodies at the place one has reached. Like this: Without elaboration and without appearance, the Great Hero, the Dharmakaya, from that arise the two form bodies, the subsequent attainment abides like an illusion. Thus it is said. If the seal of Akshobhya is already established, then why is it said that the seal of Vajrasattva seals Akshobhya? If you ask how the scriptures can make the aspect of realization empty, it is not so, because it is initially established by the seal itself. Therefore, the seal of Akshobhya is the essence of wisdom, different from the subsequent attainment of self-awareness. Likewise, the seal of Vajrasattva, consciousness, is the subsequent attainment, and the vajra becomes the essence. It is also said in the Vajra Peak: The essence is firm and without emptiness, its characteristic is unbreakable and indivisible, indestructible and undiminished, emptiness is called vajra. Thus it is said. The essence of wisdom is the seal of Akshobhya. If form, etc., are subsequent attainments, then

That is the vajra mudra, why can't the subsequent bodhisattva be obtained? If compassion has no substance, then it would become the fault of nihilism. If it is said that this is also allowed, the vajra is called emptiness. The bodhisattva is merely wisdom, and with these self-natures accomplished, it is the self-nature of Vajrasattva. The difference between emptiness and compassion is like flame and light. Emptiness and compassion are also one, just like flame and light. Reality and emptiness have no otherness, and if separated from it, there is no reality. The indivisible reality is certain, just as what is made is permanent. If there is not, it will not arise, this is the reason for certainty. How to show that itself? The uninterrupted itself is the conventional truth, and if separated from the conventional truth, then the suchness will become without object. And so on, it is widely said. In this way, will Akshobhya and Vajrasattva become one? If so, because consciousness has not completely abandoned form and so on, it will become the supreme of manifold non-duality. As it is said: By completely realizing the mind-only that includes all kinds, it is established by the principle of emptiness that includes all kinds. Walking is equal like touching grass, for the meaning of Madhyamaka, it is well spoken by a person. Saying that manifold is non-dual is also called the truth of the ultimate truth, it is not beautiful to think that there is consciousness. The manifold non-duality of emptiness of the grasped and the grasper itself, from the self-awareness of the self-nature of Akshobhya, is sealed by Vajrasattva, thus clarifying the truth of reality. As it is said: By realizing form and so on, the emptiness, on the wisdom Akshobhya mudra, there it is sealed by Vajrasattva, thus preventing the existence of reality. Merely with consciousness, one cannot become Vajrasattva, because from the beginning it does not abide, all permanent dharmas are emptiness. In this way, the pain of the existence of the ultimate truth is abandoned, the self-nature of not abiding in everything, the spontaneously accomplished two takings, established as the self-awareness that is the cause of non-duality, is the ultimate of Madhyamaka accomplishment. This must also be understood from the kindness of the supreme lama. If it is said that it is accomplished by self-awareness, then it is like an illusion, non-dual.
