First, Explanation of the Introductory Chapter. First, Explanation of the Introductory Chapter. In Sanskrit: Nīlāmbaradhara Vajrapāṇi Yakṣa Mahārudra Vajra Agne Jihvā Tantrī Bratti Nāma. In Tibetan: The Explanation of the Tantra of Vajrapani, the Blue-Clad One, the Great Wrathful Yaksha, the Vajra Flame Tongue. Homage to the Noble Vajrapani! Whoever is unstained by the faults of afflictions, like a precious beryl, The blazing field, majestic like Mount Meru. Swiftly shows beings with wisdom, and from Hūṃ arises, making the three thousand worlds tremble. From the face, non-conceptual peace, and from compassion, gathers all with strength, clearly manifesting great wrath. Having become the secret treasury of all Buddhas of the three times, I pay homage to the nature of Vajradhara. The king of tantras, performing the benefit of beings, pacifying inner and outer suffering, the meaning of profound secrets. From the power of the lineage of gurus, the self-born essence, perfectly combined, having certainly attained the nectar rays of that fierce one. The initial name, appearing as Hand-Bearing-the-Vajra, having attained great fame from all the worlds. I write this commentary, not for the sake of gain, respect, fame, or pride. But to remember this meaning, for the benefit of beings, I will write it extensively. That which is called "That Very Appearance" will be explained in order, relying on the oral instructions of the gurus. As it is said, "Thus I have heard, at one time," etc. The explanation of evaṃ māyā will be explained later. I should be regarded as the compiler. Because he heard it at that very moment, it is called "at one time." As for "The Bhagavan, the mother of all arising, residing in the lotus of the consort," it means that the Bhagavan, the Vajra Dancer, having abandoned the previous attire, dwells in the lotus. The Bhagavan, with the word "mother," indicates possessing the nature of devouring and destroying. The word "all arising" refers to the seeds of the four elements, perfectly relying on and abiding in space, the form of those seeds, abiding in the fierce mandala. Because it is similar in shape to the female lotus, it dwells in the lotus. Because beings arise from that, it is the nature of all arising. Or, from emptiness

All things arise and abide in its speech, therefore it abides. The Mother is the one who generates all things. The Consort is the cause of generating bliss, and by uniting with emptiness in accordance with it, the fruit of bliss is born. The sound of བྷ་ག(Tibetan) indicates a definite sign, or in accordance with the sound of the preceding text, it destroys all evils, therefore it is བྷ་ག(Tibetan). The sounds of arising, Mother, and Consort also apply to the three times, and are also used to indicate the meaning of determining the three times. Then, why are all kinds of evil beings such as Yakshas gathered together? In order to subdue them, you have summoned them with your blessings. The sound of "then" indicates that it abides in your presence, therefore it is united as one. Then, the Bhagavan sat in a wrathful posture, in order to subdue the wrathful ones, with the soles of his feet together and folded twice. The right hand is raised upwards, and the left hand is pressed down on the ground, turning the eyes to look in the ten directions, in order to subdue the evil ones, and it is known as the wrathful hand mudra. ཧཱུཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) and ཧ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: Ha) should be understood as mantras, which are suffering and destruction. Or it should be understood as subduing with the nature of all and wisdom. Emitting a great sound is to fully activate the navel chakra. Then, all the retinue fainted for a long time because the main deity disappeared, because they were terrified by the mantra in the preceding text, lost their sense of direction, and even the main deity disappeared. At that moment, the Bhagavan emitted "the permission of all Buddhas" from the crown of his head, which refers to emitting it from the crown of the head. Permission means that the Buddhas of the three times act as witnesses, granting permission to the secret lord and giving instructions. From "the lord of the three mantras" to "abiding in the ocean," the three mantras refer to all mantras arising from the three syllables of body, speech, and mind, indicating that he is their master. And it indicates that he is the master of the three mantras: Vidyā mantra, Secret mantra, and Form mantra. "Handprint" indicates that it is the initial word, and indicates that it is a messenger. The blue color indicates abandoning all discriminations, and the faults of offenses.
