The Sadhana of Vajrabhairava with One Face and Two Arms. Manjushri. The Sadhana of Vajrabhairava with One Face and Two Arms. Manjushri. In Sanskrit: Vajrabhairava Ekanana Dvibhuja Sadhanama. In Tibetan: The Sadhana of Vajrabhairava with One Face and Two Arms. Homage to glorious Vajrabhairava! Homage to glorious Wisdom Sattva! With beard, eyebrows, and hair blazing like the fire at the end of time, and tongue rolled back. Three eyes, sharp horns, a terrifying form that transforms, adorned with Naga lords, the face of a buffalo. Left extended, extremely wrathful, dwelling completely upon a lotus and sun disc. Holding a very sharp curved knife and skull cup, I bow to the giver of incomparable bliss. The hands and face are manifold, But one cannot meditate upon them, Therefore, this condensed Vajrabhairava. For beings without ability, And before those of inferior intellect, This is a condensed sadhana. As is their Faith as well. For the sake of generating the meaning of union, As it is said in the Buddha's tantras, If one knows it oneself, one enters greatly. The main samaya is greatly shown, Therefore, it is explained extensively. The mantra practitioner should first reside in a charnel ground or battlefield, or in a place that is agreeable to the mind, on a comfortable seat. Praise and bless the four directions with the four-faced mantra: oṃ sumbhani sumbha hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. oṃ gṛhṇa gṛhṇa hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. oṃ gṛhṇa pāya gṛhṇa pāya hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ. oṃ ānaya hoḥ. bhagavāna vajra hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ. After that, emanate rays of light from the seed syllable in one's heart, invite the gurus and buddhas, etc., into the sky, make offerings correctly, and perform the ritual of confessing sins, etc. Then, observing the realm of sentient beings drowning in the ocean of immeasurable suffering, one should meditate on the four immeasurables: wishing to bring benefit and happiness is love. Wishing to be liberated from the cause of suffering is compassion. Sentient beings are free from suffering and the cause of suffering, and the mind is pleased with happiness, this is joy. In that very nature, being of one taste, one is not stained by the eight worldly dharmas such as gain and loss.

Is equanimity. Meditation is to recite the mantra that manifests the appearance of what is grasped and what grasps, namely: Om Svabhava Shuddhah Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷཿ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वभाव शुद्धः सर्व धर्माः स्वभाव शुद्धोऽहम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'ham, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, self-nature pure, all dharmas, self-nature pure I.) After that, one should contemplate the meaning that all dharmas are without self-nature, understanding only the mind as mere discrimination, thereby manifesting the meaning of the mantra. Recite the mantra of emptiness: Om Shunyata Jnana Vajra Svabhava Atmako 'Ham. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ शून्यताज्ञान वज्र स्वभाव आत्माकोऽहम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ śūnyatājñāna vajra svabhāva ātmako'ham, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, emptiness wisdom, vajra, self-nature, I self-nature.) Then, for a moment, focus on emptiness, and after that, from emptiness: Yam (Tibetan: ཡཾ) syllable, arising from smoke; Wind mandala, having the shape of a bow; Above that is the moon mandala; A (Tibetan: ཨ་) syllable, arising from the seed syllable; Above that is Dhih (Tibetan: དྷཱིཿ) syllable, blazing with light. Having meditated, with its rays of light, truly urge on the Sugata Buddhas. All of them truly gather, truly meditate as Manjushri. Holding a sword and book in hand, possessing the golden light of the Ganges. Meditate in its heart: A (Tibetan: ཨ་) syllable transforms into a sun mandala. From that, light truly emanates, Buddhas reside in the ten directions, as well as wrathful deities and Bodhisattvas, likewise, the assembly of vidya goddesses. Or, upon that very sun, having urged, truly abide. That also at once becomes a peaceful sun mandala. Truly becomes one, extremely bright and radiant. Glory increases a hundredfold, illuminating the three realms, destroying the hordes of demons. Meditate firmly with the mind. Above that is Mahakala, Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་) syllable, possessing five lights. From that, light will certainly emanate, truly merging into it. Or, with a garland of light, make all beings without exception become Buddhas. The five Buddhas are perfectly complete, with Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་) syllable, combine with it. Piled up into a great vajra, the light of the nine tips is extremely sharp. Having meditated, with its rays of light, with subtle bodies, Buddhas, etc., below the sun, truly see as if reflections. With this, ripen all sentient beings, with this, certainly truly gather. Vajra reflection and form as one, the wise should contemplate abiding. Below that, everything is completely transformed, unbearable like the fire of the eon.
