Chapter One: Explanation of the Mandala. Chapter One: Explanation of the Mandala. Now, we shall enter the third branch. The term "then" means auspicious, or immediately after, or to be controlled. The term "accomplishment" means that the first chapter only shows accomplishment, and even contemplation is mainly about accomplishment, and the Karma-vibhaṅga is also included in accomplishment. The term "of all" means among them. The term "extremely agitated" means the nature of excellence. The term "terrifying" means the external. Or, terrifying because of being extremely agitated. The term "any place" refers to those who explain. The term "places" refers to the definite places of accomplishment. The term "place of battle" refers to the place where kings wage war. The term "having received empowerment" means that from the Tantra of Kṛṣṇa Yamāri, one should extract the methods of empowerment, the bali, the actions of the magic wheel, praises, and so on, from the tantras that are similar to this tantra. Therefore, the yogi who has received empowerment in this way should accomplish things like control. Some are mentioned in this tantra itself, while others, such as swords, are accomplished according to the rules of other tantras. Thus it is said: Where there is no ritual of one's own actions, that is known by the wise from the general tantra. So it is said. The term "with the ashes of cremation" means that here, because the practice of fierce actions is the main thing, it is said to be the ashes of the divine bone. Likewise, with it, even the drawing is only combining one into five. Whatever ashes are mentioned, all of them are one drawing. So it is said. The term "round" means surrounded by an inner vajra garland. The term "the other doors should be cut off" means that the three directions other than the south should be cut off. As it is said: The great water gate with steps, leave a little bit extra, the other gaps are cut off, with white powder, in the central part of the door, draw fine lines. So it is said. The term "corpse" refers to the seat. As it is said: The rituals of the mandalas are, in all three ways, all the deities.

Regarding the arrangement of things: It should be known that there are three ways. First, draw it as an image; second, draw it in the shape of a mudra; third, in places and on cushions, etc. The complete ritual of drawing is fully proclaimed. Thus it is said. However, in the mandala of the sole hero, as many implements as possible should also be arranged. In the east, "head" and so on are mentioned. If the disciple throws a flower, wherever it falls on the nine essential places, it will become supreme accomplishment. If the flower falls on the essential place: It is always said that it will not be meaningless. Thus it is said. If it falls on the sign of the cloth in the north, then the pacifying action will be accomplished. The south is subjugation. The west is control and attraction. The east is increase. If it falls three times outside the pattern or between two signs, then empowerment will not be given. The practitioner places a substitute image or painting of the main deity, or a carved image, on the corpse, and after throwing flowers, performs self-empowerment. From the place where the central deity is clearly visualized, the substance is accomplished, or as stated in the tantra, the supreme is bestowed. In all directions, and what is included by the word "etc.," draw each elephant skin, or draw the skin of the legs and feet. Others are indicated by the word "etc.," which is explained as drawing any weapon. Skillful means and wisdom are excellent, transforming into a state of non-duality, that is, the two hands hold elephant skin. The thirty-two major marks of the Tathagata's great compassion, the rest are shown by the hand implements, therefore, it is inappropriate to draw any other implements. The so-called eight great corpses are naked, with disheveled hair, sharp teeth, black, like rakshasas, holding curved knives and skulls. These are the assistants of the practitioner, accomplishing desired actions. Food offerings refer to the tsok khorlo performed when entering the mandala. Homa is performed upon entering. The action of the torma means that the practitioner gives it in the evening, and for empowering disciples, the mandala should be constructed. Or both are done at midnight. In the center, visualize the object to be accomplished, which means that anyone who opposes the Buddhist teachings should be visualized as a seat.
