Chapter Five: Extensive Explanation of the Method for Writing the Wheel. Chapter Five: Extensive Explanation of the Method for Writing the Wheel. Thus, since all actions depend on the wheel, the preliminary to the wheel, the one-part distinction and the act of expulsion not mentioned in Chapter Four, should be understood before writing the wheel. Then, write two wheels. The verse says: "Relying on the letter ཕཊ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari phaṭ, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: pēi), write the name of what is to be accomplished, and place it inside the joined skulls." The meaning of this is that the wheel is sharp and has the meaning of cutting. The two are above and below. Writing is in accordance with the instructions. "Relying on the letter ཕཊ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari phaṭ, Romanized Sanskrit phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: pēi)" means connecting with the name. The name of what is to be accomplished should be written with honorifics. The skulls, both male and female, should be smeared with Byitangka and red Chitraka, joined together, filled with ashes from the cemetery, and the written wheel should be placed in the center. This is accomplished by this unique action. The verse says: "Bind with a blue thread, and at midday, bury it in the ground of the cemetery." The blue thread is made by mixing the leaves of Datura and the leaves of black Ramita. It should be tied to the bottom of the skulls as if opening in two places. On the sixth day at midday, dig a triangular pit in the ground of the cemetery, draw a vajra cross on the surface of the cemetery, seal it, and bury the wheel inside. This is accomplished by meditating on this practice. The verse says: "By the action of Yama, the Lord of Death, those riding horses and buffaloes, the two accomplished ones holding weapons in their hands, should be visualized laughing in front." The action of Yama, the Lord of Death, is the pride of considering oneself as Yama, the Lord of Death. Those riding horses and buffaloes are the accomplished ones, generated from གྷོ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari gho, Romanized Sanskrit gho, literal Chinese meaning: Ghosh) and དྷ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari ḍha, Romanized Sanskrit ḍha, literal Chinese meaning: Ḍha). The two accomplished ones are holding weapons and have the thought of separation. In front, only the second accomplished one should be clearly visualized. Then it says: "The multitude emanated from the wrathful body should be visualized in the direction of both. The two engage in many battles, possessing a wrathful and malicious mind, the powerful wrathful one should..."

One should meditate, and after meditating, begin the recitation. It is said that one should contemplate the retinue emanated from the seed syllable in one's heart, acting as an army for both the accomplisher and the one to be accomplished. Furthermore, from the seed syllable in the heart, intensely agitated rays of light like wind arise, and one should contemplate that, being urged, the two engage in many battles. One should also meditate with anger and a malicious mind, both sides possessing strength and being extremely enraged. One should begin the recitation that is inseparable from the meditators: Om hrīḥ ṣṭrīḥ vi-kṛtā-nana hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ deva-datta, ṣa-ja datte devi deśaye hūṃ phaṭ. By reciting this mantra a thousand times, they will become enemies to each other. This is the great samaya of the separation ritual spoken by the Bhagavan. Now, the ritual of expulsion will be explained. The rituals are similar to the previous ones. Make two wheels, place the skullcaps together inside, bind them with black thread, and hide them like a meat-eater. It is said that the rituals are mostly the same as the separation rituals, so it is said to be the same as before. The two wheels are drawn by mixing the smoke of castor oil lamps with the blood of the hungry and yellow-eyed. Inserting the name along with the honorific between the syllables hūṃ phaṭ is called the "support." The skullcap is that of a beggar, painted black and white, and the inside of the joined skullcap is filled with the excrement of crows and yellow-eyed birds, and the drawn letters are placed inside. Bind it piece by piece with black thread that makes the sound of a young woman, and place it like a dish for meat-eaters, hiding it in a cemetery. These will also be accomplished through the power of samadhi. Abiding in the union of Yama, contemplate the one to be accomplished in front. On the black wind mandala shaped like a bow arising from the yaṃ syllable, contemplate the blue drum on top of it, place the malicious one upon it, facing south. Struck by the assembly of wrathful deities, even a Buddha would be difficult to turn back. It is said that there is nothing particularly to emphasize. On the twelve great holidays, abiding in the union of Yama the terminator, contemplate in front the one to be accomplished, bewildered by the mantra, as if all limbs were birch wood.
