Chapter Seventeen: Explaining the Meaning of the King of Blessings of the Vajra of the Vows and Samayas of All Tathagatas. Chapter Seventeen: Explaining the Meaning of the King of Blessings of the Vajra of the Vows and Samayas of All Tathagatas. Thus, through the gate of possessing the three self-empowerments, for the benefit of others, relying on the mandala of the fourth and sixteenth diagrams, in order to perfect the meaning of worldly and transworldly matters, as well as the nature of exhortation, and bestowing instructions, etc., it is said, "From then on," etc. Among them, the five "Immovable Ones" are praises of the lord of the mandala and the five families of the retinue through the five wisdoms. The "words of praise" themselves are also the ultimate emptiness of sound, explaining its meaning. "From then on," and the four words "Emaho." Guarding the four vows is "From then on," etc., because the self-deity is close, so guarding the four vows is: great meat, etc. That is, the vow of great meat and the vow of feces and urine, and the vow of blood and semen, and the vow of body, speech, and mind, that is, whatever is combined with body, speech, and mind, all the above combinations should be practiced. Others, the vow of the Pratyekabuddha is "From then on," and "the vow of the Pratyekabuddha," etc. Those teachers of the body do not rely on language, but rely on the miraculous powers of their own body, and the differences in behavior, and abiding in the vow of the body to achieve perfection. The vow of the Shravakas is "From then on," and "the ten virtues," etc. This is also negated here, it is the vow of small faith that reaches perfection. The worldly vows are explained. "From then on," etc., these vows are the differences in their respective behaviors. When yogis practice secrets, they give their respective vows, but it is only to accomplish benefits, and achieve them as desired. The vow of the lord of mantras is also like this, for Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and Pratyekabuddhas and Shravakas, whatever is combined with body, speech, and mind, should not be prostrated to, because that would become a fault. If it is necessary, then place one's own deity on their hairline. The mantra practitioner also only enters into meditation, body

The actions of body, speech, and mind are prevented by various methods. If one knows this mandala and possesses closeness, etc., filling the pure lands with excrement, etc., for the Sugatas of the three times, extensively bestowing, this comes from Vajrapani, etc. These vows are spoken for the benefit of oneself and others, not solely for one's own purpose. Then there is the detailed questioning and the answering, which is saying "then again." Among them, first is the question of remaining without speaking a word, the answer is spoken in the following. Then, Manjushri, etc., are asking about their respective ways of seeing, because the meaning of body, speech, and mind is difficult to measure. The answer to that appears in "then, the Bhagavan." Then, the Bhagavan speaks extensively, asking about the mandala that gathers the essence of meaning, and giving the answer, which becomes the mandala of body, speech, and mind. Therefore, one should investigate the wisdom secret of the Tathagatas. How to view the teacher? That is, starting from "then, Maitreya Bodhisattva," etc., thinking that the Tathagatas, etc., are also our parents, even thinking that one pore of the teacher surpasses the accumulation of merit of the Tathagatas, because there is no difference in the essence of meaning. The accomplishments of body, speech, and mind reside in the teacher himself, that is, starting from "then, those Bodhisattvas," etc., it is said to receive from the teacher. Also, where do body, speech, and mind reside? That is, the Bodhisattvas pray, saying that the teacher is inseparable from the Bodhisattvas and possesses the nature of secrecy, so it should be said in that way. Then, starting from "then again," etc., it is asking about the Vajradhara mandala, that is, with the mandala of reliance, visualizing the Vajradhara mandala as in the ritual, visualizing the wisdom mandala in front, completing all the offerings, and empowering one's own body, etc., as vajras, which is the nature of the wisdom of the Sugatas, the so-called "descent" is the concluding word of the empowerment. Its application has descent, the samadhi of food, the distinction of offerings, and the application.
