Chapter Ten. Commentary on "Encouraging the Essence of All Tathagatas". Chapter Ten. Commentary on "Encouraging the Essence of All Tathagatas". In Chapter Ten, it is taught that the meaning of truly encouraging all Tathagatas is explained, starting with "Then," etc. "Where there is no abiding equality," means that equality does not abide anywhere, because becoming the dependent and the depender, if there is no becoming equality, there would be a fault. Reaching the other shore is wisdom. The form of its mantra is Vajra, like a Vajra holder. Thus, abide in Samadhi. Encouraging through peacefulness, etc., because it performs such actions, it is knowledge. How is it? "With peacefulness, etc., well encouraging, the activities are said to be knowledge," as it is said. Being both mantra and everything is the Tathagata, the essence of which is universally encouraged, even with fierceness. With "All Tathagatas," etc., it shows the purity of the mantra created from the body door. It is also clearly stated in speech and mind, because there is no difference from it. Thus, "All Vajra holders," etc., is the door of mind. From the door of speech, the purity of the mantra is also proclaimed, called the path of words, definitely proclaimed, although there are no words and it does not possess words, it is proclaimed by establishing the proximity of words. "Trembling," etc., proclaims the great nature of the mantra, if this mantra is recited by a goddess and a Vajra yogi, then it possesses such power, that is the meaning. Now, in the body of the mother who gives birth to the king, the cause of arising is following after two months. "Vajra with Hum syllable" is proclaimed, starting from "Then," etc. The so-called "mandala arrangement" is the nature of the Buddha's arrangement, which is the complete mandala of Vairochana. Its, meaning on the central moon seat, it is complete as two moons. Above it is the syllable Hum complete.

The term "Su" refers to the unification with the Vajra form that is the complete transformation of the letter Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable Hūṃ). As it is said, from the essence of the Glorious Supreme First, it is explained from "arising from..." up to "meditating with the protectors through the first essence." The phrase "of the Buddhas" and so on, indicates that having abandoned that pride, Vajradhara is generated from it, clearly manifested. As it is said, "The one with pride is an infinite emanation," and so on. Now, in order to invoke the mandala, the verses beginning with "First, emptiness is enlightenment," and so on, are spoken. For the purpose of common recitation, the manifestation of the mandala within the lotus is spoken of as "one's own mandala," and so on. The phrase "that own mantra" means that one's own mandala is emanated by the very seed syllable of the lord, and not by the individual seed syllables of the deities. Because if one clings to non-difference, it would lead to difference, and reciting one mantra would not become the fault of reciting all mantras. As it is said, "From one's own heart essence, without exception, contemplate the form of one's own mandala." Now, in order to show the meaning related to the forceful urging just spoken, and also to show the manifestation of realization, the phrase "one's own mantra person" means contemplating oneself as a person possessing one's own seed syllable. The phrase "in the four places" refers to the navel, head, secret place, and between the two breasts of the goddess. The phrase "the manner of form" refers to Vajradhara and so on, and with a combination like the three faces, one should thoroughly contemplate the three colors. These indicate the four mudras. The phrase "in the center of the heart" means being immersed in the center of one's own characteristic mark. The phrase "the subtle mandalas" means contemplating the mandalas of body, speech, mind, Vajra, and wisdom being. That is as it is said, "In the center of the moon-like Vajra navel in one's own heart is the letter Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable Hūṃ)." and so on. The phrase "of that" refers to the characteristic mark. The phrase "should be placed in the center" means one's own seed syllable, which is the word that has become the supreme of all, should be contemplated.
