Chapter Seven: Explanation of the Supreme Conduct of Mantras. Chapter Seven: Explanation of the Supreme Conduct of Mantras. "Then," and so on, speaks of the seventh chapter. The "Great Samaya" is the mandala of Vajradhara, which is the suchness itself. The mantra practice that possesses its essence is the supreme perfect enlightenment, and this chapter teaches it. "In all desirable enjoyments," and so on, teaches how secret mantra practitioners should engage in the practice of secret mantras. "Eating alms," and so on, demonstrates the rejection of begging through ascetic practices. "Undiminished limbs" means possessing the limbs of recitation and so on. "Relying on desirable qualities," and so on, shows that enlightenment is attained by relying on the five desirable qualities themselves, and not by relying on suffering. "The sun of enlightenment" refers to the Buddhas. "Three kinds" refers to the distinctions of superior, middling, and inferior. "Making offerings" means not thinking of them as different. "Ratnasambhava" refers to Akshobhya, and if explained in terms of elaboration, it is in terms of sound. "The source of the dharma of desire" refers to Ratnasambhava. "The supreme holder of meaningful vajra" refers to Amitabha. "One's own family" means that the previous one should also be known. "Akshobhya" means that with the symbolic representation of dharma, the meaning is accomplished. Thus, this shows the mode of elaboration, and in the mode of non-elaboration, Vajrasattva is spoken of as form, sound, and so on. "Mind" refers to Vajrasattva. This, by the distinction of reversing all Buddhas, elaboration is the way of collecting the secret essence. "As the deity itself" refers to form vajra and so on. "Meditate in the manner of the family" means meditating on the distinctions of the five families, such as Vairochana. Therein, this ritual of practice is, after rising, the pure hero, one's own deity.
