Chapter Two: Explanation of the Mind of Enlightenment Chapter Two: Explanation of the Mind of Enlightenment Now, beginning with "Then," etc., the second chapter, the chapter on the ultimate mind of enlightenment, is taught. "Body, speech, and mind" refer to the nature of the emanation body, the enjoyment body, and the Dharma body. Therefore, it is supreme. It is the secret of all the Tathagatas. What is it? It is the "unsurpassed mind of enlightenment." Because there is nothing higher than this, it is unsurpassed. Here, from below, beginning with "the mind possessing the nature of enlightenment," it illuminates here, which is also unattainable by reason, because the very nature of oneness, the manner of non-duality, is unattainable. Therefore, this is considered to be the mind of enlightenment of Vajrasattva. Now, beginning with "Then," etc., abandoning the order of arising, relying on this very proximate order of "mind like body," etc., below the mind, the mind of enlightenment that manifests various forms of the nature of the body is taught. All the Tathagatas manifest and realize, abiding in the samadhi that has become the nature of vajra, which is the meaning of being like a mirror. "All things" refers to form, etc. Separated from this, the aggregates of form, the elements, and the sense bases are like a mirror, completely abandoning the grasper and the grasped. The two phrases, "no-self of phenomena, equality," explain no-self. To clarify this, it is said, "no-self of phenomena, equality." "One's own mind" is said to be another distinction. "Unborn from the beginning" means that the aspect that has been conceived from the very beginning is unborn. "The nature of emptiness" means that it is relied upon. Now, beginning with "Then," etc., the mind of enlightenment of action is taught. All the Tathagatas are inexhaustible and imperishable, abiding in the indivisible form of the wisdom nature of the Dharmadhatu. That is the samadhi like the immovable one, this is the explanation of the meaning. Things

That which is called "these" refers to things that have inner and outer nature. That which is called "unborn" refers to the absence of things. Because it holds its own characteristics, it is Dharma. Because it does not have it, it does not have Dharmata. If that is the case, it would become an empty void, wouldn't it? (Answer:) Like the sky, there is no self, it is said, meaning that it is only the wisdom without object. The way of enlightenment of Ratnasambhava is taught. The selflessness of all Tathagatas is Vajra, which is the aspect of equality. The meaning of "Thus it is" is to enter into Samadhi. The meaning of "all dharmas are unreal" is in the manner of knowable things. The characteristic of Dharma is that because of the nature of all dharmas, form is changeable, and so on, these are completely abandoned. Moreover, actions and close acquisitions, differences such as aggregates, the nature is also like that, therefore, this is also without nature. That's what it says. Therefore, non-self arises from Dharma, that is, it is not that all dharmas are non-self, but the mind of equality that arises from reliance on negation is universally produced, which refers to the nature of those things. The Bodhicitta of Amitabha is taught. Wisdom itself is light, therefore, it is a lamp because it distinguishes for the benefit of sentient beings. That itself is the Samadhi that is like Vajra, the form of non-duality, which means like Amitayus. Unborn, that is, for material dharma, there is no self-nature, this is falsely established, there is no thing, and there is no meditation on it. So what is there now? Combine in the manner of space, it is said, in the manner of wisdom without object. In this way, the object previously mentioned is fully proclaimed and distinguished in the nature of non-duality. The way of enlightenment that is achieved without being disturbed by demons is taught. All Tathagatas can suppress, that is, one must accomplish the benefit of sentient beings, this is the essence of completely purifying jealousy, it is accomplishing the work. That itself is Vajra, it is the nature of non-duality, which refers to entering into such Samadhi.
