Thus, whoever understands that very Suchness and sees it as it is, those are said to be all-knowing. The so-called "holding various things" is because they perfectly accomplish the benefit of sentient beings with various manifestations. Illusion is striving to deceive others; it is the net and also the bondage. Cutting it off is manifest enlightenment. Or, one becomes manifestly and perfectly enlightened through the stages of the net of illusion. Samsara is the nature of sentient beings who are not independent due to karma and afflictions, but are controlled by others. It is the ocean and also the pond. Reaching its end is crossing to the other shore, and therefore abiding in the order of other truths. By doing what has to be done, one abides in it, and it is said to be the wisdom that is not obscured by dualistic thoughts. As it is said: "Whatever is analyzed in various ways, all of that is false. That is true and the ultimate end, whatever is not analyzed." It is said. Non-abiding is because neither side is perceived. Those are the names of the Buddhas, etc., showing the difference of the seven verses. Whatever sound is unborn, etc., that is what shows the samadhi of union. There is no other desire to manifest there, and by this path, the accomplishment of the great seal of the Bhagavan has been attained. How is it like a son? It is said, "There is," etc. The side of existence is clinging to reality, the side of non-existence is denigration, and those have been completely abandoned. If any yogi is diligent, then in order to obtain the state of union, he practices the three conducts, and he will undoubtedly obtain non-dual wisdom. How is it self-nature, etc.? It shows the diligence of the yogi's conduct without hesitation, and all of that is easy to understand. Thus, diligently striving for wisdom day and night, that vow-holder who conceals it in his mind, all perfections are accomplished by the characteristic of obtaining the state of Vajradhara, which is extremely virtuous. After speaking, etc., it is the dedication of all roots of virtue.

It clearly shows the meaning. From the "Illuminating the Meaning of the Difficult Points of the Five Stages," which is the union, it is the commentary on the Five Stages. Perfect hearing is wisdom. If both thinking and hearing are present, then it is well applied to practice. From this, one can obtain unsurpassed accomplishment. After thinking like this, a wise person, initially with effort in the meaning of hearing, whoever is always diligent, in that person's hand, accomplishment is well obtained. If one has doubts about the words, how can he understand the meaning? In order to dispel these confusions, I have made efforts in this. The ability to speak in all ways is the conduct of the Tathagata himself. However, for those of low intelligence, I have only made a slight distinction. Wherever in the world, the light of the sun makes all beings bright with great offerings, what can the light of a firefly's body do? Even so, may other wise people, with this difficult commentary of supplication, determine and distinguish the meaning of the Five Stages, and may the noble ones accept it with forbearance. The scriptures of the all-knowing ones cannot be explained by those of low intelligence, and the wise have not seen the distinctions of this treatise. I have only seen a few aspects, therefore, with a mind free from stinginess and supreme wisdom, whatever the exposition may be, may those with enlightened eyes be pleased by diligently benefiting the lower beings. In this way, from one instruction to another, the complete transmission, through the detailed explanation of the Five Stages, whatever merit I have obtained is like the stainless autumn moon, may it quickly lead beings who have fallen into the cycle of existence to the summit of perfect enlightenment through the Five Stages, and may they become clear, pleasing, beautiful, and happy. As long as the rays of the moon and the collection of stars in the sky make it beautiful, and as long as the collection of darkness is quickly destroyed and the mandala of the sun appears, and as long as this one wonderful place, Mount Meru, exists, may the teachings of the Sugata and this supreme difficult commentary remain for a long time. This is called "Illuminating the Meaning of the Difficult Points of the Five Stages." The great teacher
