Because of enjoyment, it is a god. Because it arises from a mind endowed with wisdom, it is a human. Or, derived from worldly terms, because it is the lord of beings, the powerful one. The fruit of happiness is enjoyment. This non-existent is nothing at all. The enjoyment of goddesses is not non-existent in this world; it should be known to exist. That enjoyment is beneficial to sentient beings, etc. The meaning of that "only" is that nothing else is obtained except benefiting sentient beings. The three realms are desire, etc., or the underworld, etc. Its meaning is like this: If the enjoyment of gods and humans, as much as there is in the three realms, is used to benefit sentient beings, then even if one attains only the heavens by abiding in the asceticism of the Shravakas, etc., one is not endowed with enjoyment. Having spoken of going to the heavens after benefiting in that way, now the opposite result is spoken of. Hell is because there is no merit, it is the direction that leads people, because it destroys people. Because one passes without returning, it is a preta. Or, because food and drink are attached to the mind, it is a preta. Because one goes perversely from gods and humans, it is an animal. Their suffering arises from harming sentient beings. What is the nature of suffering? Suffering is in various forms, that is, due to the influence of cold, etc., the forms of all sentient beings are different. From where does such suffering arise? Because it harms sentient beings, there is no fault. That meaning is hunger, etc., and "mutually" refers to the nature of self and other. Such suffering is constant, that is, it does not cease in the lower realms. The difference of that suffering is said to be difficult to reverse, not even by offerings and miracles, because it is a karma that must be experienced. Incurable is not like an arising disease, because it arises from sinful karma. Such suffering does not arise from others, but is the result of harming sentient beings. The entity of beings is said to be Buddha, that is, the four types: Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha, and the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. The lineage of Bodhisattvas and those who have attained the bhumis.

It is a sentient being that is completely purified. Where are the high realms and the evil destinies? This is all affliction. "What" is a common word. From the Buddha to the hells, all should be known as sentient beings. How is it known? It is the form of ripening. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are sentient beings ripened from the karma of the root of uncontaminated virtue. The high realms are the virtue with outflows. The evil destinies are the non-virtue of that. All methods should be used to attend to and respect those sentient beings. Body and mind are the methods. Or through the gate of offerings, giving, and so on. Protect them as you would protect your own body. Just as you protect your own body from harm, so too should you treat sentient beings. Actions like poison, etc., just as poison is discarded, so too should abandoning sentient beings be abandoned. Therefore, it is taught that if one is separated from sentient beings, one will not attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of Bodhi. This is to show detachment, etc. Cessation through individual examination is detachment because it is separation from samsara. The Bodhi of the remainderless aggregates, which has the same taste as that, is Bodhi of one taste. Mind and mental factors are stopped, and one abides like a lamp without oil. By what is that Bodhi attained? It is attained by the Shravakas, etc. Therefore, it is said that one does not abandon all sentient beings. If one does not separate from samsara, then it is not abandoning sentient beings. Thus, in that way, etc., by benefiting and harming sentient beings, thinking about the arising of happiness and suffering, one should not abide in the self-interest of the Lesser Vehicle. Therefore, the Bodhi sprout, etc., the essence of the fruit of the Bodhi mind sprout arising from the Shravakas, is not moved. It is cultivated by the sons of the Buddhas, not by other Shravakas, etc. This is the concluding statement. That son of the Buddhas is the nature of non-discrimination, because it arises from the realization of the mind of the Tathagata. The meaning of greatly establishing the conventional Bodhicitta.
