That which is taught. The self-nature of the five Buddha families is great. The gods and goddesses are different, From the five families, the truth arises. Wrathful deities, male messengers, female messengers, Maleservants, femaleservants, messengers, and so on. That is not existent, nor is it non-existent, But is well shown for the sake of beings. Thus, the self-nature of a yogi, Spreads and gathers everything, The form of the mandala is also very vast, Abiding in illusion-like samadhi. The various colors also, Are well combined as if in an illusion. Sorrow, fear, and detachment, Fear and likewise ignorance, Suffering, those are not existent, Likewise, unpleasant sights and sounds, Unpleasant smells and tastes, Tangible roughness, etc., whatever they may be, Natures that are incompatible with the Dharma, Are purified by illusion. Speaking and entering into excretion, etc., Cold and epidemics, etc., diseases, The natures of aging, etc., Those are healed by illusion-like medicine. By whatever Dharma children, Will enter the place of samsara, By that very Dharma, the yogi, Enters the place of great bliss. By the bliss of the five desires, It is said that children are bound, By that very Dharma, the yogi, Will even attain Buddhahood. Attachment, pride, and craving, Likewise, love and compassion, Joy and equanimity, Strength and likewise joy, Courage, untamedness, cruelty, Violence, likewise, are difficult to combine. Other natures of appearance also, Are gathered by the truth of my blessing. Possessing one mudra, Or possessing four mudras. Even by dwelling in the circle of consorts, Remember my blessing. Forms and sounds, and likewise smells, Tastes and tangible pleasant things, From the state of great bliss, The yogi always enjoys. The lute and the single-stringed lute, The dense and the flute, The four kinds of music the yogi, Enters well through my blessing. Always coquetry, etc., The nine flavors of dance truly arise. By illusion-like samadhi, The yogi enjoys. Whatever is said in the Yoga Tantras, The extensive rituals of symbols, etc., By focusing on illusion, The yogi enters into that.

Walking and smiling, as well as laughing or speaking thus, in coming and going, sleeping and eating, one should remember this as an illusory body. Whatever is enjoyed by the lord of beings, measured by various conceptualizations, abiding in a state of great desire, one should thus practice with wisdom. After abandoning all views, having heard this self-blessing, all actions can be done, or one can proceed as desired. One should not engage in stupa activities, nor should one read scriptures, but by the order of self-blessing, one can also act and read. One should not prostrate to the gods, nor should one prostrate to the sangha, but by the order of self-blessing, one can also prostrate to all. One should not recite mantras, nor should one hold mudras. One should not recite mantras, but one can also possess an image. Since external objects do not exist, one should view these as one's own mind. Having thus meditated on illusion, one should also remember it. The immeasurable rituals of meditation, and the samadhis of the mantra body, until illusion is realized, all are merely the fruit of the earth. Body, place, and enjoyment, as well as the earth and the paramitas, etc., the miraculous play of the Buddhas, all are transformations of illusion. Just as in a spotless mirror, an image appears with all its limbs complete, the eighty minor marks and the thirty-two major marks, so is the body of Vajradhara always. Just as the rainbow of Indra's bow appears in the sky, so too does Vajradhara, with colors such as white, perform virtuous deeds in the world, showing a form with limbs intact and perfectly complete. Whether it be gold or silver, or jewels, conch shells, crystal, and coral, beryl, as well as copper and jade, all abide in a pure place. Just as from the sky, the image of the rabbit appears alone, and by analyzing it in various ways, it becomes very clear, so too are the various forms of uncontaminated things, the illusory nature that pervades all the world. The Vajra, the protector of the mind, abiding in various sentient beings, is also thus. The five forms such as form, and any place of birth, as well as the eighteen realms,

And also the five mothers, the five wisdoms, and all beings in that realm, all arise from illusion; here, Vajradhara is none other. What are the mountains and the eight great oceans? What are the continents and the distinctions such as hells? What is the nature of that which moves and that which does not move? That is Vajradhara; behold, it is not other. Thus, all beings arise from one's own mind; there is existence and liberation, and the consciousness that possesses thought and truth. By what good practice can one cross from the ocean of existence, the ocean of suffering, and attain the fruit of the other shore? I praise and prostrate to that. The Self-Blessing Sequence composed by the great master Āryadeva is complete. The classification of the Self-Blessing Sequence. Āryadeva.
