"Then" refers to the sequence following the exposition of the collection of activities related to eye medicine and mantras. "The chapter on purification is extremely difficult to find" means that the chapter on true purification is exceedingly rare to obtain. It is difficult for Shravakas and others, meaning it cannot be found. "Grandmother, maternal aunt, mother, daughter, and wife" refer to these five wisdom mothers, meaning the five supreme Yoginis arise from the body. "The wise should practice in this way" means that these Yoginis should be practiced and relied upon through the true union of Vajra and Padma. If one asks what will result from this, it is said: "If one desires the Great Mudra," it means that if a yogi possesses the desire for the Great Mudra, then these five wisdom mothers should be desired, and one should intend to draw near and enjoy them. "Female servant, dancer, bathing woman, and fierce woman, the daughter is said to be a leather worker," means that those who desire the Great Mudra should practice with these five Yoginis. "The intelligent should practice these" means that the intelligent yogi should practice and rely on desires. "These five are the supreme of Yoginis" means that these five Yoginis are supreme, excellent, and superior for accomplishing the Great Mudra. "For the sake of purifying the impure mind" means for the sake of purifying the impure mind, to show the meaning of purifying the mind of the yogi. "Hatred becomes a young woman" means that the nature of hatred becomes a young woman. "Desire is not a bather" means that the nature of desire becomes a bather. "Pride becomes a wrathful mother" means that the nature of pride becomes a wrathful mother. "Jealousy becomes a leather maker" means that the nature of jealousy becomes a leather maker. "From form arises ignorance" means that the eye becomes completely purified ignorance. "From sound arises hatred" means that hatred arises from sound. "From smell, enjoying desire," and so on, is easy to understand. "With a mind of intense union" means a yogi who meditates with intense one-pointedness. "Even if accomplishment is not attained in this life" means that even if the accomplishment of Mahamudra is not attained in this human life. What will happen then? That is what was said. "In another life, accomplishment will arise in existence," it is said, meaning that in a life other than this, the accomplishment of Mahamudra will definitely be attained. Similarly, in the "Secret Treasury," it is said: "If empowerment is truly endowed with generosity, empowerment will occur in life after life. In those seven lives, accomplishment will be attained without cultivation. Whoever is endowed with cultivation, if they abide by the vows and precepts, if it is not accomplished in this life due to karma, accomplishment will definitely be attained in another life. Alas! If one does not keep the vows and precepts, let alone attain accomplishment, even obtaining a human body is difficult. Whoever is from the lineage of the Lama, coming in succession, that very awareness, the practitioner thinks to practice with that." That is what was said. "Do not look with a pure mind" means that with what mind, with the pure co-emergent wisdom, one does not look at or examine the colors of white, green, and black. Then how should one look?
