In order to explain "self and so on," "in the center" and so on are mentioned. How should the center be examined? It means, how should the nature of the consciousness of the center be grasped? All of these are merely mental examinations, up to this point. "In order to enter that itself," the formless samadhi is spoken of, and "mind" and so on are mentioned. "Mind" means consciousness. "Having dissolved into the sky" means that everything is burned by the blazing fire of the syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།) "Hum," and not even ashes remain, thereby dissolving into formlessness. Therefore, it is said, "One should think of everything as empty," which is a summary. In order to explain that teaching, "continent" and so on are mentioned. The word "etcetera" includes the ocean and the wind mandala, and so on. "Above" means acting in the sky. "Below" means acting underground. "Middle" means acting on the ground, and these three worlds are the three realms. "Everything" means the two kinds of distinctions of container and contents. Having spoken of summarizing, "ten directions" and so on are mentioned, which is easy to understand. Thus, in order to dismantle all things separately and to make oneself also the nature of space, it is said, "Exhaust my things." It means that, in the end, by burning the discriminations of the form of my body, etc., dismantle them and make them formless. "Meditate on the mixing of things" means to meditate on mixing all the objects of things into the taste of the nature of space, becoming one taste, that is, to meditate as a deity.

Signs of accomplishments such as pacification, are omens to be examined and contemplated. Alternatively, the sign itself is wisdom, because it enables the understanding of accomplishments such as pacification. "There" means at that time. "That which is spoken, like a lamp flame," etc., means that when a light like a lamp flame appears, one should know that the pacification activity will be accomplished. "Red dust will spread," dust is light, and spreading is increasing. "Like the sun," etc., the increasing activity, which is subjugation. By "etc.," one should understand it to include summoning, suppressing, etc. "Finally, if one sees black smoke," finally, at the end of samadhi, if one sees darkness like smoke. "In manifest action, it is very famous," means it is easy to understand. "Like the color of wind, agitated," is like the color of wind, blue and turbulent. "At that moment, expulsion will occur," is also easy to understand. "Like the white light of the moon," is extremely white light. "At all times" means for a long time. "Yoga accomplishment should be known," means it is easy to understand. What is "If a wise person dwells in conduct?" It means that through this, one will be able to know the past, future, and other things of beings. Now, in order to explain the deity visualization after emptiness, "After that," etc., is mentioned. "After that" means after meditating on emptiness. "Born from yoga" means arising as the yoga of the deity. "What sprout, etc., contemplate as a symbol," means that on the field of the body purified by emptiness, one should gradually generate the seed of the deity and the sprout of the body, this is its meaning. That is repeatedly taught. Here, only a brief explanation is given, if a yogi dwells in emptiness for a moment or even two kshanas in the realm of all things, then through the sequence of the deity's seed, etc., the fruits such as knowing the past and future will ripen, this is the oral instruction. If not emptiness...

If someone asks, what fault is there in relying solely on deity yoga? (The scripture says:) "Whoever contemplates emptiness, quickly attains the Bodhisattva's liberation." Here, "whoever" refers to the yogi. "Emptiness" refers to contemplating emptiness itself. "Contemplation" refers to contemplating as a deity. Only in this way can one quickly be liberated, otherwise not. "Bodhisattva" refers to the mind, or it can refer to Vajrapani. What is it like? (The scripture says:) "With wisdom, observe the knowable; with the knowable, examine beings." Here, "with wisdom" refers to the wisdom of emptiness. "Knowable" refers to the aggregates, etc. "Examine" refers to recognizing their nature. "With the knowable, examine beings," here, "knowable" refers to the deity. "Beings" refers to nature. "Examine" refers to analysis. If one thoroughly analyzes the nature of the deity with non-dual wisdom, one can quickly be liberated. This is related to the previous content. "One should wash away the defilements of sentient beings' bodies." To closely explain this, it is said "father," etc. "Father" refers to self.

That makes the appearance disappear, therefore, the defilements of sentient beings are purified. This should be combined with that. Although this text also exists among the non-Buddhists, it should not be abandoned, because there is no contradiction in all aspects. This is the summarized meaning of this chapter. The so-called "mine," etc., is in accordance with the characteristics of peace, etc., and makes the wisdom of emptiness clear, therefore it is a good distinction. The commentary on the Glorious Four Seats, called "The Cause of Remembrance," is the third division of the order of my seat. Third Division of Order.
