Explanation of the Ninth (Topic) Explanation of the Ninth (Topic) ༄། །What is this mantra that was mentioned earlier for recitation? In order to understand this, the ninth extensive explanation is taught, starting with "then." "Whatever" means that any sentient being can gather the mantra that is naturally accomplished, and from that, all mantras arise; this should be understood. For this, draw a triangular mandala on the outside, and inside it, draw a pattern of eight lotus petals. In the center of it is the letter A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, meaning: none). On the petals, arrange the Ali and Kali with divisions of eight eights, from the fourth and fifth onwards, and gather the root mantra with elaborations such as the fifth of the fifth. These triangles inside are the root center, the eight roots of Ali and Kali, and the letter A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, meaning: none) residing in the center is the Bhagavan, the form of all letters, words, speech, and great speech, and from that, letters become clear. Those also cause words to arise, those also produce speech, and those also produce great speech, to the extent that there are endless distinctions of worldly objects and eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma. All of these arise from letters. Moreover, the center and the secret are spoken of as the object of support and the supported, and therefore, only the wheel of emanation is the support of the mantra, so it is said. In this way, the letter A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, meaning: none) is without distinction, and the mantras that arise from the letter A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Roman transliteration: a, meaning: none) perform and fully engage in activities such as pacification with corresponding forms, and not in any other way. The reality of complete knowledge is the mantra. It is also said: "The supreme, unchanging, and solitary, the essence of the mantra itself, merely by fully knowing it, the mantras here perform their function." And similarly, "Therefore, mantras are not considered the self-nature of letters, because the root cannot merely be bent." This is, with the form of the mantra, for sentient beings.

"The accumulation of karma is the doer." Thus it is said. "The letters are indeed fifty." And so on, the second is spoken. Vowels (Āli) are of the nature of skillful means and wisdom, and are indeed two. Among them, discarding the category of vowels, there are thirty-two letters. However, since ra (ར་) and sha (ཀྵ) are placed below and above, and since consonants (Kāli) are only thirty-two, it should be truly understood as sixty-four. What is relied upon are the actual fifty letters. Famous in other categories. Based on the fourteen sciences such as the Vedas, and the five sciences famous in one's own category, the letter A enters through those letters themselves. It is also said: "The first one is in the middle of nine, whatever is not bound by ten, that is the unbound knowable, that itself is the wisdom of the supreme state. Vowel and consonant letters also enter following the number ten. For the sake of mutual combination, bound by A, whoever knows it is the wisdom of the goer." So it is said. The Vedas of practice have four branches, and their arrangement is extensive. In the ancient scriptures of the Dharma, these are the fourteen sciences. The science of sound and logic, likewise the science of medicine, and the two arts, are the five sciences. All of these are produced from the letter A, therefore it is the lord of all letters. It is impossible to utter them after abandoning it. This is "Truly dwells in the Vedas, etc." Thus it is said. Mantras of the nature of peaceful, wrathful, and both, and repelling, etc., and the wheel of protection.

The treatises such as "Susonpa" were taught, and the first letters were taken from each of the categories. Āli Kāli (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་ཀཱ་ལི་) is the nature of all speech, which is the cause. The categories are divided into eight. That is, fifty letters. When Āli Kāli (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་ཀཱ་ལི་) are put together, one should truly realize that there are sixty-four. By contemplating one letter on each channel, on the emanation wheel, these fifty self-arisen letters themselves, divided by eight eights, are the nature of the sixty-four deities of the mandala, which is the collection of different wheels. One should know that they abide in the eight directions and the non-directional directions. Those "central" etc. spoke of the central main deity. In the center of those channels of the nature of Āli Kāli (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་ཀཱ་ལི་), is the supreme lord, the chakravartin who is the lord of those letters of the nature of the supreme hero and yogi. Similarly, having completely abandoned the four neuter seeds, the twelve letters beginning with the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཡིག་) are the twelve hands of the Bhagavan. The four burning seeds are: Dakini, Lāmā, Dumkyema, and Rupavati. The letters beginning with the letter Ka (Tibetan: ཀ་ཡིག་) and ending with the letter Ha (Tibetan: ཧ་ཡིག་), marked with the letter Ma (Tibetan: མ་ཡིག་) and bindu, are the heroes and heroines of the three wheels. Those beginning with the letter Sa (Tibetan: ས་ལ་) and ending with the letter Ha (Tibetan: ཧ་ཡིག་) are Khadongma and others. The letter Ṣa (Tibetan: ཀྵ་ཡིག་) is the exhausted Dakini. In the center, the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཡིག་) is Vajravarahi. Therefore, this is surrounded by these eight categories. The supreme and unchanging letter A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཡིག་) is the cause of all mantras, therefore it produces mantras. "The letter A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཡིག་)" etc. spoke of its benefits. In order to clarify the unborn suchness from the beginning, it is of great significance. They alone accomplish those, therefore they are the main deities of the categories. Embodied beings, that is, practitioners, or anyone who speaks the words of mantras accurately, are also born and arise from it. Thus, by nature, it abides as the friend of all sentient beings' mantras. Any sword, eye medicine, etc.
