Explanation of Chapter Eight. Explanation of Chapter Eight. It is said to answer the fourteen questions about vows and so on. It starts from "Then" and so on. Vows are what yogis should not eat unclean things, but should transcend through practice. There are also two types, namely what should be protected and what should be eaten. Through the detailed distinction of these kinds, many have declared, that is, "the vows." "By what is the fruit declared" and so on. Among them, in terms of the vows to be eaten, in order to determine the place and what should be offered, the ritual of offering, and the implements, it is declared in order. From "one's own home" etc., to "for the sake of desiring the supreme fruit" is the determination of the place. From "Yoga" etc., to "extremely praised" is the determination of what should be offered. From "invitation" etc., to "blessing" is the determination of the offering ritual. From "mixed wine" etc., the implements are determined by half a verse. The remaining part is also the ritual itself. Among them, "field and mantra-born place-born" refers to those born from the field and mantra, that is, field and mantra-born, and similarly place-born. Field and place are symbols of proximity, and also the fields of proximity, etc. "Mantra-born" refers to making them qualified through the sequence of empowerment etc., that is, those who focus on meditation and recitation etc. "All the gods should be invited" means that everything should be invited with the image of the gods. "The teacher, the monk, is also" means that the monk himself should be regarded as the supreme teacher, which is the remaining part. How is the teacher himself a monk? It is said that "some" etc., that is, those who abide in the path in the order of the principle of secret mantra, there is no contradiction in them being the teacher himself, and they abide in the position of a monk in order to subdue beings who do not trust the profound Dharma very much. It is said about this. In the Vajra Garland, it is said: "Delighting in gathering in sickness, outwardly practicing the conduct of Sravakas." And similarly, "Relying on secret conduct, accomplishing the supreme state." Other places are also like this. "Some qualities" refers to clairvoyance etc.

If one possesses the qualities of the earth, then other than a bhikshu, one can also be made the principal teacher. 'Enjoying the support' means enjoying the objects of a stupa. Some read 'fallen conduct,' and at that time, if one deviates from the conduct of samaya, it is falling, because the vows of the Shravakas and others are solely abiding. 'Enjoying' means attachment that solely abides in the five desirable qualities. Or solely abiding in food, meaning inseparable from food. 'Always with regard for sentient beings' means always holding sentient beings, being loving and amiable. 'Excellent' means supreme, i.e., the mudras of the wheel, etc. 'The torma should be examined by the teacher' means the teacher should examine the torma with the ritual that will be explained. 'Initially, from the conduct of samaya, possessing a hook' means initially.

Thereafter, the Karma Vajra holds in his right hand the respective vessels containing the five ambrosias and the three pills of the five lamps, and with his left hand indicates the mudra of the three banners. He recites this verse: "All phenomena seen are pure, Abandon the thought of non-existence, Brahmins, dogs, and outcastes, Offer them together as one." With this verse, he should offer individually to all those who go before the teacher. Those who receive also indicate the same mudra and recite this verse: "The Dharma of the Sugata is priceless, Free from attachment, stainless, Abandoning the grasped and the grasper, To that I pay homage with reverence." With this verse, they should receive, and other things such as food should also be universally enjoyed in this way. Then, reciting the two verses beginning with "Place and nearby place," one should praise the mandala of the chief deity of the wheel. After that, the patron makes a mandala, joins his palms, and having first praised and prostrated, he should say, "How blissful." Then, with verses such as "Equal to existence," one should pray to all the mandalas including the goddesses for the sake of the patron. Yogis, in their own way, because they are the chief, should pray to them, and with three verses such as "Yoga," "E (藏文,梵文天城体:ए,梵文罗马拟音:e,汉语字面意思:唉)," and "Glorious," they prostrate to the chief and so on. Then, with three verses such as "From that," "Goddess," and "Birth," they prostrate to the chief consort. With three verses such as "As many," "Glorious Heruka (藏文,梵文天城体:हेरुक,梵文罗马拟音:heruka,汉语字面意思:黑汝嘎)," and "Without discrimination," they praise the mandala. Therefore, the yoga itself, in which emptiness and compassion are inseparable, is the nectar. That one, non-dual drinker, whose mind is completely pure, is just like that. By surpassing the outer and inner places and so on, the body itself is stainless, therefore it is a completely pure body. The place of glory, that is, the vajra place, the wheel of great bliss.
