Therefore, there are other things to be explained. It is said: "This is the root tantra of the root tantras." This is because all the roots are completely collected from the hundred thousand tantras. Therefore, the meaning of this tantra is widely explained there, so this is the true root tantra. Therefore, the Blessed One said that other tantras are merely branch tantras. The good ritual is elsewhere, it is said that if one is afraid of obstacles when practicing raising the dead, one can practice the good ritual, that is, the eight-faced sixteen-armed one to be explained later, or the twelve-faced twenty-two-armed one, or the twenty-four-faced forty-eight-armed one, or the one with various animal faces, or the twenty-five faces of the sky-goers, the twenty-five faces of four-legged animals such as lions, a total of fifty faces, and hundreds of thousands of arms. Or it has a thousand faces, that is, the five Tathagatas of the families, the twenty-four heart sons, the forty-eight heroes and heroines, the ten vidyas, the ten paramitas, the ten bhumis, the ten powers, the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the four immeasurables, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, with various faces, shapes, and colors, possessing millions of thousands of faces, holding the hand symbols of the deities of the four tantra classes of the world and beyond, holding the various forms of the six realms of beings in the twenty abodes of the desire realm, holding the gods of the seventeen abodes of the form realm and the four formless realms, holding the five sciences and eighteen arts, with a thousand feet stretched out to the right ༄། །and bent to the left, surrounded by sixty-two wrathful and terrifying deities such as Bhairava and Kalachakra, surrounded by the gods of the four dhyanas of Brahma, surrounded by Isvara and near Isvara, surrounded by the wrathful trident holder, surrounded by the Asura who pervades, surrounded by the all-illuminating youth sky-goer, and by the four great kings of Karttikeya.
