Chapter Forty-one: Explanation of the Ritual for Drawing the Mandala of Twenty-four Letters Chapter Forty-one: Explanation of the Ritual for Drawing the Mandala of Twenty-four Letters Then, regarding the supreme of actions, "If the practitioner knows what." Here, "what" refers to the mantra, which is difficult to understand because its truth is hidden. Therefore, it should be understood from the guru's mouth and subsequent tantras. As it is also said, "Do not belittle the work of your own ritual; wherever the actions are clear, follow that tantra, and the wise should know the basis of the ritual." Thus it is said. The sequence of its secret instructions is as follows: Going with the gait of a vajra stallion, that is, Yama and pretas, and similarly, other distinctions such as corpses and rakshasas, each pair is suppressed by harmful beauty in the empty doors. The monks should be fully endowed with vajra. The distinction of the garland of mantras is the twelve great illusion wheels, plus the three channels of the skull garland, making fifteen. Merely remembering and knowing these will bestow the supreme of siddhis upon the practitioner. Starting from the clay drum that serves as the basis, bind it and then properly arrange the mantras. First, starting from the empowered one, in a clockwise direction, apply each cell so that they are manifestly present. Om sumbhani sumbha hum hum phat. Om grihana grihana hum hum phat. Om grihna paya grihna paya hum hum phat. Om anaya hoh bhagavan vidya raja hum hum phat. In the central cell, write "Devadatta" in accordance with the action and what follows. Or, here: Om sum pha hum hum phat. Om. The two channels. Hum phat. That is hum phat. Gri the third. Hum pha sum grihna, grihna phat. This is the fourth. Hum. That. Hum that hum. The fifth. Hoh. Bhagavan. Hum grihana paya. This is the sixth. Anaya. Phat. Vidya. Devaya phat. Hum, this is the seventh. Om hu hum. Raja. Hum hum. Gri. Om, the eighth. Through the combination of these, stiffness and overturning can be done. Through these, one should abide; in the places where the letter Hum abides, write by tormenting the form to be accomplished with the blazing vajra. Hum is the center of the vajra.
