It wanders for a long time and abides in one place. It enters the cave of the bodiless senses. It tames the mind that is difficult to tame. This is the teaching of the Brahmin, from which one is liberated from the bonds of demons. Thus it is said. Moreover, in the King of Tantras it is also said: The agent and the actor are none other than the Alaya-vijñana, just like a worm in a husk. In the Glorious Buddha Skull Tantra it is also said: The one mind is like a spotless mirror. Whatever is thought is a reflection. Although it is known to be like a dream, it is nevertheless grasped by conceptual thought. Thus it is said. In the Vajra Amrita Arising Tantra it is also said: The one consciousness, and so forth. By reason, the eight consciousnesses are not reasonable. The Alaya-vijñana and so forth, like mirror-like wisdom and so forth, the four wisdoms, some are directed towards the subject, and some are said to be directed towards both the dharma and the subject. That wisdom which is directed towards the subject is not the wisdom of the Buddha, because it is directed towards the subject, like a sentient being. Some say that the Alaya-vijñana is constant, while the entering consciousness is impermanent. In this regard, it should be examined whether it arises and ceases in an instant or not. Among them, many acknowledge that the Alaya is momentary. There is no difference between momentary impermanence and constant impermanence in momentary impermanence, because they are both impermanent. For example, like the mind consciousness. Therefore, it is not many consciousnesses, but one, which is doubtful. In this regard, some may think like this: The aggregates of perception, the aggregates of feeling, and the aggregates of formation, and so forth, and the divisions of self-awareness, and so forth, are consciousness because they are experienced. If the aggregate of form is consciousness, how is it? It is said: In the Abhidharma Sutra it is also said: It is not made of subtle particles. The Alaya appears like the earth. Just as from the transformation of milk, the qualities of yogurt and butter arise. Likewise, when consciousness transforms, it appears as form after transforming. Thus it is said. And also in the Lankavatara Sutra, the Mahayana Sutra, it is said: Just as a child examines whether external objects exist or not, it is due to habit.

The defiled mind, fully arises as meaningful things. So it is said. In the Dashabhumika Sutra also it is said: O sons of the Victorious Ones, these three realms are only mind. Therefore, all these three realms cannot be established apart from consciousness, not even as subtle as dividing a hair into a hundred parts. Therefore, these three realms are one's own mind, appearing in various forms such as earth, water, fire, wind, space, and wisdom. However, they are one in the nature of wisdom. This is clearly explained in all the King of Tantras. In the King of Tantras it is also said: All appearances are one's own mind, what is separate from the object is not one's own mind. And, in the Guhyasamaja it is also said: Generate like body and mind, etc. From beginningless time, due to the power of the complete ripening of the habits of elaboration, with the distinction of the conceptual thoughts of the grasped and the grasper, the object and the mind appear different, but the essence is not different. Then, in the King of Tantras, the Shri Samputa, it is said: Like the flow of a river, and like the ocean. etc. All seventy-two thousand rivers arise from the ocean and then return to the ocean, similarly, all forms and feelings etc. arise from consciousness and then return to consciousness. Said: Consciousness itself, from beginningless time, due to attachment to the habits of elaboration, appears as grasper and grasped, and appears as matter, therefore, consciousness itself appears as different. For example, like white cloth is changed by color, or like pure crystal is changed by color. Similarly, due to the difference of objects, consciousness itself appears as different such as desire and hatred, and good and bad, but in essence it is not so. Consciousness is like a dancer, a magician, and an illusionist. It itself is self-born wisdom, and because of emptiness, that is, grasper and grasped, it is free from the extremes of elaboration, it is the great Vajradhara. It itself is the great spontaneously accomplished wisdom, because it does not arise from anywhere. It is called non-dual wisdom, that is,

Because of the emptiness of the two consciousnesses, the grasped and the grasper, and because of the inseparability of emptiness and compassion, and because of the inseparability of the two truths. Moreover, in the Glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra, it is said: "Completely separated from all things, aggregates, elements, and sense bases, having abandoned the grasped and the grasper, the selflessness of phenomena is equality itself. One's own mind is primordially unborn, it is the nature of emptiness." Also, in the "Praise of the Names of Manjushri" it is said: "Buddha has no beginning and no end, the first Buddha has no cause, one wisdom eye is without stain, the wisdom body is the Thus Gone One." Therefore, consciousness or wisdom is only one. The order of common practice, this is the first. First, the order of common practice.
