The Sadhana of Glorious Hevajra. Composed by Naropa. The Sadhana of Glorious Hevajra. Composed by Naropa. In Sanskrit: Śrī Hevajra Sādhana. In Tibetan: The Sadhana of Glorious Hevajra. Homage to Vajrasattva! With all reverence, I bow to the lotus feet of the venerable one. For the benefit of those of inferior intellect, I will write the Hevajra Sadhana. Here, since one possesses the special basis of common and uncommon vows, in places such as charnel grounds, one should rise at one-eighth of the night, perform bathing and water offerings, offer a mandala, and then arrange offerings and tormas, etc. Sitting on a cushion with inner purity in the vajra posture, by reciting "Hevajra," one should instantly visualize oneself as Hevajra with one face and two arms. After that, visualize the RE (རེ) at one's heart. From that arises a sun disc. Therein is the form of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ). It is the nature of skillful means and wisdom. From that, light radiates. Looking at the venerable one in the sky, Vajra arises with great compassion. The eight goddesses holding all the ornaments offer. The white one holds the mark of a deer. A vessel victorious over thieves and demons. Ro Langma is a sailor. Ghasmārī holds medicine. Pukkasī holds a vajra hand. Likewise, the mountain dweller holds a corpse. The Domba woman beats a changte'u. These offer to the main deity. Great desire arises afterward, Embracing the body of the consort. Visualizing such a tsok offering as if it were manifest, one should prostrate, offer outer, inner, secret, and suchness offerings, confess sins, rejoice in merit, take refuge, show the path, generate bodhicitta of conventional and ultimate nature, dedicate the root of virtue, and either relinquish the tsok offering or request them to depart. Then, first, one should meditate on loving-kindness. Second, one should meditate on compassion. Third, one should meditate on joy. Finally, there is equanimity. Again, it is emptiness and enlightenment, That also proceeds with expansion and contraction, reciting: Oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātmako'haṃ. ( ཨོཾ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ཧཾ། , oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātmako'haṃ, Om, emptiness, wisdom, vajra, nature, I). Meditate on all phenomena as mere illusions.

First, Repha meditates before the sun. In that sun, the syllable (ཧཱུྃ, हूं, hūṃ, Hūṃ) arises, transforming into various vajras. Meditate on the enclosure and the tied tent of that very vajra. Within that, arising from the syllable (བྷྲཱུྃ, भ्रूं, bhrūṃ, Bhrūṃ), like a wheel turning outward. Meditate on that wheel with ten spokes, vast, empty inside, unmoving, rotating. In the realm of space, contemplate the syllable (བྷ, bha, Bha). In the center, the meditation is, before the wheel, appropriately, how the deities arise. The wheel and water are first. Appropriately, enjoy the offerings, as well as the great wind of the deities. Above that, from the syllable (བྷྲཱུྃ, भ्रूं, bhrūṃ, Bhrūṃ) arises the wheel, transforming into a bindu, becoming a celestial mansion. Square, with four doors, eight-petaled lotus, and an additional petal. Adorned with eight pillars, with nets and half-nets, perfectly corresponding to the eight great charnel grounds. Inside and out, adorned with vajra lines. In the center, meditate on a corpse, stating that it is the nature of the Dharmadhatu. Thinking of the eight petals, Brahma, Indra, Near-One, Powerful, Yama, the Lord of Wealth, Truth-Free, Skillful Weaver. And the seats of Gauri and others. Think of nine corpses together with the sun. Meditate on Āli (ཨཱ་ལི་, आलि, āli) as the moon, and Kāli (ཀཱ་ལི་, कालि, kāli) as the sun, as well as the two-space yoginis. In the center, the sun and moon unite, Nāda (ནཱ་ད་, नाद, nāda) descends, transforming into the syllable (ཧཱུྃ, हूं, hūṃ, Hūṃ). From the syllable (ཧཱུྃ, हूं, hūṃ, Hūṃ), emanate (གཾ, गं, gaṃ, Gaṃ) and others, expanding. (གཾ, गं, gaṃ, Gaṃ), (ཙཾ, चं, caṃ, Caṃ), (བཾ, बं, baṃ, Baṃ), (གྷཾ, घं, ghaṃ, Ghaṃ), (པཾ, पं, paṃ, Paṃ), (ཤཾ, शं, śaṃ, Śaṃ), (ལཾ, लं, laṃ, Laṃ), (ཌཾ, डं, ḍaṃ, Ḍaṃ), and Gauri and others. From that expansion and contraction, the hand symbol of the central main deity is, the vajra arising from the syllable (ཧཱུྃ, हूं, hūṃ, Hūṃ), black in color, extremely terrifying. Abiding in the center of the vajra's heart, again, meditate on that deity with the syllable (ཧཱུྃ, हूं, hūṃ, Hūṃ). The retinue are curved knives, small axes, tortoises, snakes in the directions. Lions and monks, wheels, vajras in the corners. Marked with their respective seed syllables. Again, contract the expanded seed syllables. From that, the fifth form is complete. Looking at the form transformed into the syllable (ཧཱུྃ, हूं, hūṃ, Hūṃ), meditate on the nature of hatred. Vajra-born, great and black, color like a blue lotus. Or the color of blue and the sun, meditate with certainty and faith. Color similar to blue and the sun, possessing reddish-brown eyes. Yellow hair swirling upwards, adorned with five mudras. Wheel, earrings, bracelets, bracelets.
