Classification. Classification. Base classification. There are two types of classification: base classification and ritual classification. Among them, there are three types of base classification: consecration as the nature of the body, consecration as the nature of speech, and consecration as the nature of mind. Among them, consecration as the nature of the body includes stupas, temples, stone pillars, trees, wells, springs, pavilions, stables, and tall trees. Consecration as the nature of speech includes rosaries, worldly scriptures, and transcendental scriptures. Consecration as the nature of each lineage is to consecrate the statues as the body they represent. Ritual classification. Ritual classification includes elaborate rituals and concise rituals. Ritual sequence division. Bathing ritual. Now, let's explain the ritual sequence. The consecrating teacher should choose an auspicious month, date, constellation, and weekday. That is, any of the six months and four weekdays, and any of the fourteen constellations, as well as any of the seven dates, are the days for the consecration of the Buddhas, etc. As it is said. At those times, in a pleasing place, decorate with banners, curtains, and canopies, and scatter flowers, making it fragrant. There, make a platform that is two cubits high, four cubits wide, square, flat, beautiful, smooth, and without any crooked corners. That platform can be made of stone, brick, or adobe, and whitewashed with lime. On that platform, bathe and offer to the deity to be consecrated. Among them, the sequence of the ritual is to first place the statue facing east on the platform, drape a yellow cloth over the statue, and use the mantra Oṃ Vajra Vastā Hūṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཝསྟ་ཧཱུཾ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra vastra hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Cloth, Hum). Then, reciting the syllable Hūṃ, circumambulate the auspicious mustard seeds and water three times from left to right, throw them into the fire, and purify them. Then, place a bowl containing the five types of milk and the five nectars, dip a Durva grass brush, and wash with this mantra: Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Kāya Viśodhani Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཀཱ་ཡ་བི་ཤོ་དྷ་ནི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ sarva tathāgata kāya viśodhani svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, All, Tathagata, Body, Purification, Svaha).

When it becomes pure from that point on, place something soaked in fragrant sesame oil in a bowl, take it with a durva grass brush, and apply it well all over the body while reciting the mantra: Oṃ Hūṃ Traṃ Hrīḥ Khaṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཧཱུཾ་ཏྲཾ་ཧྲཱིཿ་ཁཾ་,梵文天城体:ॐ हूँ त्रं ह्रीः खं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ hūṃ traṃ hrīḥ khaṃ,汉语字面意思:Oṃ Hūṃ Traṃ Hrīḥ Khaṃ). Then, to remove the sesame oil, wash with water mixed with the powder of the five barks. After that, apply fragrant mud such as amaka again, and perform the consecration bath with a vase filled with pure water mixed with the five elixirs, reciting auspicious verses, ringing the bell, playing various melodious songs, dances, and music, and pouring water from the vase. At that time, the teacher should visualize that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the sky, as well as accomplished vidyadharas, and many gods and goddesses are also pouring nectar water, and recite this mantra with verses to perform the consecration bath: Just as at the time of birth, all the Tathagatas are bathed, with the pure water of the gods, so I also bathe. Oṃ, all Tathagatas, Abhisheka, Samaya, Śrī, Hūṃ, Āḥ, Svāhā). Then wipe the water that has adhered to the body with a red cloth. This is the ritual of bathing. The Ritual of Abiding in Preparation Then, apply the fragrant paste of two types of sandalwood, saffron, white sandalwood, and kaṅkatī to the heart of the deity and recite this mantra: Oṃ Vajra Gandhe Āḥ Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་གནྡྷེ་ཨཱཿ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:ॐ वज्र गन्धे आः स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra gandhe āḥ svāhā,汉语字面意思:Oṃ, Vajra, Fragrance, Āḥ, Svāhā). Then offer flowers, incense, lamps, scented water, and food offerings with their respective mantras. Touch the heart, neck, head, and shoulders three times with the hand holding the vajra, hold the burning incense in the hand, and with the right knee placed on the ground, transform the tongue into a vajra from the syllable Hūṃ. In order to abide in preparation, recite the following words three times: O Lord Vajra, so-and-so, King of Knowledge, I prostrate and praise. For the love of the disciples, and also for the offering to you, Protector, you are the embodiment of great compassion. Tomorrow we will perform the consecration. With reverence, I and the vows, Lord, please bestow your grace. Please grant the Dharma wheel for the benefit of beings. May the Buddhas consider me. All you Arhats and Bodhisattvas, and any other mantra deities, gods, and worldly beings.
