Chapter Thirty-Nine: Explaining in detail the distinctive characteristics of the self-nature and the manifestations of illusion of the Bhagavan who possesses the perfection of self-benefit. Chapter Thirty-Nine: Explaining in detail the distinctive characteristics of the self-nature and the manifestations of illusion of the Bhagavan who possesses the perfection of self-benefit. It is said for the purpose of understanding the nature of such accomplishment and the engagement in the benefit of others, such as "accomplishment." The wise one is the Sambhogakaya, the body of great bliss that is manifest only through perfect union. The ungone is the nature of the Dharmakaya, because it is the essence of Suchness. What is said is: Son of lineage, Suchness does not come or go from anywhere. That which is Suchness is the Tathagata. This explains that the Dharmakaya should be understood as inaction in the ultimate sense. The term "non-existent" also negates the support and the supported. Because the first birth, the final cessation, and the dwelling in the middle, these do not exist for it in the ultimate sense. Because it is non-dual, that is, without elaboration, it is the nature of the wisdom of the utterly pure Dharmadhatu. The three realms of existence are the realms of desire and so on, and it is said that they make the immeasurable appear in each direction, that is the nature of mirror-like wisdom. Manifestation, like the mind of the Bhagavan, even the senses and so on completely cut off all objects, therefore it is said to be all objects. As the Bhagavan said: In all places are the edges of hands and feet complete, in all places are eyes, head, and face complete, in all places are those with hearing complete, in the world, abiding having pervaded all places. Also in the Sutra on Generating Faith, it says: Manjushri, the Tathagata sees the death and birth of sentient beings with the six omniscient knowledges of all-seeing, and also sees those who go to happy or unhappy realms. Similarly, the Tathagata also sees with the crown of the head. Similarly, also sees with the urna. Thus, each mark sees. Thus, simultaneously in all the countless realms of the ten directions.

It is said, "He saw," and so on. "All, all" refers to the five aggregates. Reaching there means acting universally. "By the equality of the selflessness of all dharmas" means reaching everywhere, it is the nature of the wisdom of equality. "Knowing the limitless mind and mental factors" means all-knowing, it is the nature of the wisdom of individual self-awareness. "Skilled in all actions" means all, it is the nature of the wisdom of accomplishing actions. "Skilled in refuting" is like "refuter," it is Ananda. Therefore, all should seek its meaning, this is the supreme meaning for a great person. "For impure minds, abiding in the essence of suchness of their own nature; for pure minds, it is the nature of stainless suchness," means abiding in the minds of all sentient beings. This is proclaimed by the equality of the selflessness of all dharmas. The Bhagavan is the purity itself, free from defilements. Therefore, he is liberated from the evil realms and so on. Qualities refer to powers and supernormal knowledge and so on. With great compassion, in order to lead beings to the good path and liberation as appropriate, therefore benefiting all beings is universal benefit. Thus, this is the Vajra of Bodhicitta spoken of as the union of emptiness and the nature of compassion. Peace is the nature of supreme virtue. Because there is no equal, it is unequal. Constantly arising refers to the Dharmakaya's nature being constant, and enjoying great bliss is without regression, it is the constant continuity, and the manifestation of the Nirmanakaya showing birth etc. in various world realms, is the constant continuity. Thus, he is the protector of beings, the chief lord. Protecting means protecting from evil realms and wrong paths. Even so, it is abandoning all discriminations together with their imprints. Shape refers to the differences of hands and feet etc. being properly arranged, such as length and so on. Color refers to yellow etc., being separated from these is the ultimate truth. Therefore, it is not the object of the eye. Even so, it is benefiting.
