Enjoying the fruits of my own actions, I know that all things are impermanent and will perish. Even when I regard others as innocent, what I see are illusions of ignorance and darkness. Although I am an ocean of faults, I cannot tolerate even a small fault in others. Although the virtues of patience are complete and abundant, it is very strange why I cannot endure. Like rising in the sky in summer, the clouds of afflictions in my mind repeatedly come and go. Shameless and lazy, I am a bad person. If the cold wind of afflictions arises, even if I try to conquer them with the blazing fire of samadhi, the darkness of sleep and drowsiness increases, so the desire for bedding also increases. My mind is helplessly bound by the rope of desire, burned by the fire of hatred, and destroyed by pride. The arrows, spears, and weapons of all sins fill everything, so I faint helplessly. When mindfulness arises, I am bound and quickly frightened, completely destroyed and extremely discouraged, and also deceived by deceit and trickery, so I wander in the realm of inferior demons. How and how I focus on tranquility, and repeatedly fix my mind on it, then the rope of afflictions is pulled helplessly by the rope of attachment to objects. If I exert effort, excitement will also arise, and if I abandon effort, then discouragement will arise. It is difficult to find the union of these two principles, how should I subdue my mind? If I practice wisdom, excitement will arise, and if I rely on grasping, discouragement will arise. It is difficult to find the union of these two, how should I subdue my mind? If I strive to enter, excitement will arise, and if I relax the effort, discouragement will arise. It is difficult to achieve the middle way of these two, how should I subdue my mind? Even if the fire of the forest of meditation repeatedly burns the forest of sins, because the root of self-grasping is not completely removed, it grows continuously in front of me, like being moistened by rain. Anyone ༄. Just seeing the stream of afflictions and karmic results can also stop it, and can also abandon the continuum of mind, but diligence in benefiting sentient beings is very far away. The protector has only attachment and separation.

I prostrate. For those who have no attachment to all beings, The cause of mind is like a lamp that has run out of oil. The passing into peace with the aggregates exhausted. Whatever eliminates the suffering of all beings, The mind of enlightenment is nourished by the essence of nectar. When meditating on non-conceptuality as the cause of enlightenment, At that time, I only run after conceptual thoughts. Like a dream, no matter how beings are, Without clinging to anything, Even if meditating like that, it is only acting in the realm of the enemy of conceptual thoughts, The one who conceptualizes and what is conceptualized. Lord, please look upon this extremely unbearable harm, Please strive to look upon me with immaculate view. Whatever I cherish, Those will vanish first. Or the misdeeds I committed in the past, What will the Bhagavan do about this? Even the sun that dispels the darkness of all the world, Cannot dispel the darkness for the blind. For a long time, it shows the root of the disease, Here too, the mind is always confused. For a leper, with severed hands and feet, What good is it to take medicine occasionally? The tree of mind has existed since beginningless time, Moistened by the sap of the snow of afflictions. It cannot be made into something delicious, How can a drop of the water of qualities change it? My mind is the nature of all faults, It is amazing that it can be transformed into the elixir of enlightenment gold. If virtues are combined with this, It will remain as the very essence of faults. Whatever is said to be a great medicine, Those have become poison to me. If reason is said to be the best nourishment, If there is no trust, then it does not exist. Whatever eliminates the arising of afflictions, Whatever does not create other faults, I think that is reason, But how is it, I have not done that again. Combining latent thoughts And habitual tendencies, With the antidote to the cause of faults, If meditating on that pith instruction of thought, Then it will soon be pacified. Protector, you are completely free from all faults, And you see the ultimate meaning of all dharmas, Because you have spoken in various ways, It eliminates all the seeds of afflictions. Your body shines with beautiful marks, And seeing you residing in front, And hearing the nectar-like sound with the ears, Afflictions

Destroying completely all seeds of defilements, O Lord, you are far superior to that. Possessing the unsurpassed sun of the Dharmakaya, Even when contemplated, it does not change the realm of beings, Amazing is the elimination of the darkness of faults. With whatever supreme mind, Abiding in whatever peaceful place, Pacifying all faults in every way, To whom, the Bhagavan, I prostrate. Thus, the virtue of confessing to unsurpassed qualities, The goodness of composing the true praise, As white as the beautiful moon, whatever I have accumulated, May all beings go to the realm of bliss. The Praise of Confession, composed by the teacher Chandra Gomi, is complete. Translated, corrected, and finalized by the Indian Abbot Buddhakara Varma and the revising translator, the monk Rinchen Zangpo (Ratnabhadra). Praise of Confession, by Chandra Gomi.
